Works as expected for my snapper RER. Pro tip. don't take the tire off when you're trying install this. Use the tire to get some leverage to get the hub off. if it gives you too much trouble, go rent a harmonic balance puller from Auto Zone, but be careful not to damage the threads one the hub with it.

This item fit perfectly. Be aware that there is a right and a left and that you should replace them both at once. If you're not handy with tools, you should consider not doing this yourself. It requires near complete dis-assembly of the rear...both wheel off, both wheel wells off, chain drive assy and left and right axles off. A good opportunity to service gear oil levels and make cable adjustments, too. Replacing both and putting the mower back in service took over 4 hours.

Exact replacement. I hope these parts are available for a long, long time. These old Snapper mowers have been know to last over 40 years with proper maintenance.

It's too long for the Snapper 28" riding mower. I had to trim the long part of the boot to make the gears shift correctly. Just get two of the short ones.

One mow and it's already busted idk if it was defective when I received it but put it on a week ago looked today to lube up axles and was already cracked at the seam
