Installed on a Craftsman as a replacement for the original, which had badly mangled blade-engagement pins. The OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) was smaller overall, and had an oval shape. This unit is much brawnier and heavier. That is not a bad thing, as rotating mass acts as a "flywheel" and helps keep the blade from bogging down when it hits tall grass. The Stens fit on the crankshaft with minimal play; I recommend putting a little anti-seize on the shaft so the adapter can be removed in the future. No vibration, so it is a balanced part. Very happy initially, and if it is durable it's an excellent value.

I bought a blade adapter for my old Craftsman mower. ( Pulley puller crushed original blade bolt collar in half )Sten part arrived rite away, best part is ..... THEY PUT A COLLAR inside so you crank don't rust or bond unlike the original. I gotta feeling that this one will come off easier this time, in fact I know it will.Nice job Sten ðŸ‘

Installed brand new Stens blade adapter with brand new blade, tightened with impact wrench, checked that all was still properly aligned and when I started up the mower the two pins immediately sheered off in my garage when I wasn't even mowing anything. This part is totally worthless, probably the worst product I've purchased from Amazon. I installed the blade with my old adapter which is missing one pin and mowed my lawn.

Bought a used lawnmower that had an unusual blade that seemed to cost more than regular blades. Bought this adapter that works with common blades. Went right on and was able to easily attach a readily available inexpensive blade.

The pins that hold the blade to the adapter sheared off after 5 uses. No rocks, no yard obstacles, only grass. The prior adapter lasted 20 years. No wonder the item has only a 30 day warranty.

Exact match for the blade adapter i have on my mower...tightened it up really tight...started the mower....and wouldnt ya know it...the 2 pieces of metal that go and lock into the holes on the blade just scheered off .....now its just a useless hunk of metal.

Brand new blade, brand new part. Not even 5 minutes after installing and testing everything, I check the mower and the 2 protruding metal cylinders are completely shaved off. So cheap! As soon as I opened the package it felt way lighter than the original part. Get something else.
