It fits probably all CH440’s. You may need to drill further into an existing hole in the cover into the flange. Use self tapping screws not wood screws. Don’t know what size I just had them and they worked. If you can’t figure it out get a 5th grader to help you.

As I was already going through the trouble of replacing the muffler & manifold, I decided that it would be a good idea to install another one of these as the original one was long gone. This Stens deflector appears to be better made than others I looked at here on Amazon, and they don't waste time and material on paint for it that's just going to burn off in mere minutes anyway.

I used this on a Predator 212 engine. The holes didnt line up so I drilled holes in the correct locations. This was something I considered before purchase as the Predator was not on the list of engines this part fits. In the process of drilling four new holes, the base plate/ring came loose with little effort. In the end the fasteners hold the deflector together so it works fine (at least for now).

This fit perfect! Nicely made. Poor design on a log splitter I own would push exhaust gas in my face in the vertical mode. Install this and what a difference. Took about 2 minutes to install.

The deflector doesn't just mount like it should. It must be modified to fit correctly.

I like the price very good value. It fit my single cylinder kohler, had to give the bolt holes a little more clearance with a larger drill bit. Now the exhaust noise goes out the front. Now i am very happy.
