This is a short geared NEMA 17 Stepper motor. It has an integrated planetary gearbox with a 26.85:1 gear ratio, the resolution reach 0.067 deg. step angle.
It's a good solution in applications that need very low rotation speeds and/or lots of torque.

Warning:

Great price for motor + gearbox. I bought four.They have approximately 1 degree of backlash.

The stepper/gearbox combos have a ton of torque for you CNC application but are extremely slow at this 27:1 ratio due to hitting the steppers max RPM. Depending on your drive method, only about 10mm/s is achievable. trying to go any faster will stall out the motor. Im getting the 5:1 instead, leaving me with enough torque to feed the spindle yet still able to fast travel when i need to.

This geered stepper motor costs much much less that assembling a gear box to an existing stepper motor.The slippage on the shaft is very small and was not noticible or an issue in my table top experimental apparatus.For the cost and the reward of controlling the rotation of a small apparatus, this might be the way to go for many projects.The quality of the stepper gear system to me was excellent.
