I'm pleased with this cake carrier. It can fit close to a 12 inch cake. I say "close to" since, while the platform will hold a 12 inch cake round, there's virtually no clearance between the cake and the lid. So, if you have any measure of frosting on the sides of the cake, this carrier will not work well. But, for a smaller cake, such as a 10 inch even with loads of frosting, zero issues.The base attaches to the lid with two plastic snaps. They close firmly with a loud click so you know the top is firmly engaged. Still, the snaps (as with all other parts of the carrier) are plastic, so they won't last forever. But even with significant use, I think the parts are sturdy enough to stand up to a few years of use. My only quibble is the handle. It's not ideal for getting a good grip. It's functional, but a larger, easier to grip handle would have been nice.Note that there are several listings for this item, often rebranded, with far higher prices. It's the same item -- a Sterilite carrier that is made in the US. A great value -- five stars.

This cake server is nicely made of a thick plastic It is very tall which Is nice for tall cakes. . The dome is kind of frosted but there is a clear window on the very top so you get a clear view of what is inside. It has two plastic latched on both sides which really clamp the lid down to the base and there is a nice thick handle for easy carring.

doesnt seem to be but is quite sturdy. gave my wife a big rouses cake that was quite heavy. it held it with ease for the height which was suprising and the weight was no problem holding by the top handle.

It's a tall server, suitable for 3-layer iced cakes without the top of the cake touching. Locks down well, too.

Cake making is just my hobby, I don’t do cakes very often, just for friends or family. I didn’t want to buy a big pack of disposable boxes, considering that I’m making cakes just 2-3 times a year anyway... So I searched for something long lasting that I’d buy one time. This is the biggest cake carrier I could find on Amazon! While a bit on the pricey side, the size of it makes it worth the $. It easily fits 4 layer 8†cake! There’s even extra space.What’s good:- great quality, seems very sturdy, snap closures are working well;- the lid locks into place and fits tightly, doesn’t dry out cake by letting air in;- spacious enough to fit a variety of items, can fit up to 11†wide and 5,5†high cakes.- functions well as a display piece;- neutral color and matte finish.What I wish was different:- the bottom part of the container has weird bump that pops up in the middle, which makes the surface (where you place a cake) not evenly flat! I tried pushing it down, but nothing changed. I placed a cake board first and then a cake on top of it, it was alright because my cake was heavy. But if I made soufflé or mousse - I don’t know how would that go...🤔 It could deform it. I guess it is manufacture defect (I’ll be replacing mine);- takes too much storage space. There are collapsible cake containers, but they’re not nearly as big as this one. So I chose size over convenience;- you can’t carry it by handle.Bottom line:It is a good, very functional product and it meets all my needs for transporting cakes. It’s roomy enough for large cakes or pies, keeps them secure and in the perfect condition. I like this carrier and have received compliments on it as well! Giving it 4 stars just for the hassle with replacing because of the defect.I hope this helps!

So far I am happy about this cake carrier. It had a smell when first opened but completely gone after a good cleaning. Holds cakes well. 9 inch two layer had lots of room. Pretty sure a three layer would fit but still need to try it out. Good quality and good value for the money. Seals well. Have held by handle with no problem but usually I hold base as I worry plate could fall off with cake. Very happy so far.

Nice, my old Tupperware was better but this will do. The size is good, just miss the "burp" of the Tupperware

This cake server is of excellent quality and has multiple uses. It it spacious enough to fit larger cakes (the one on the picture is 9" and there is plenty of room left for larger items). It provides an excellent storage container to keep cakes and other pastry moist and fresh. The bottom part can be used as a cake plate or other food serving tray since the silver plastic side handles are removable. It is made of thick material and is very sturdy. The cover can be secured safely in place, which makes it excellent for carrying cakes. While the price was low, the product doesn't look cheap.

I was really pleased to get this tall, wide, sturdy and strong cake carrier. I can fit a tall cake with a plate, and the two side clips solidly shut the sides securely. The color is white opaque. It’s a nice, useful and substantial looking item. Definitely recommend owning one!
