pull the cord through the plastic sheath, you can tighten it up right next to the ring.

Quality prusik loop with a quality splice. For the price I was excited to get it. The only issue with it is that the splice is located much farther from the ring than it shows in the photo. What this means is that when I try to form a prusik on my friction saver, to make it adjustable, I can just barely get two wraps. I have to work to feed the splice through the narrow loop on the second wrap. I normally do three wraps on my prusik and am not thrilled about only using two, especially on my TIP. I do like having a removable ring though, since I really only need it to be adjustable in specific situations.
