Fast-setting glue for instrument bindings

For gluing plastic bindings to any tonewood. Bind-ALL™ is the first choice of major guitar manufacturers. Now available in a convenient tube for small shops.

Holds bindings in place while you work

Bind-ALL's high tackiness helps you position long strips of plastic binding. Bindings stay in place instead of slipping, giving you time to apply clamping bands or tape.

Use Bind-ALL for gluing all these bindings and trims:

ABS plastic

Celluloid nitrate

Butyrate

Vinyl

Permanent bond to all tonewoods

Creates a high-strength bond to all tonewoods, even oily hardwoods like rosewood and cocobolo. Sets in just two minutes; fully cures in 12 hours.

Good for binding repairs, too: keep a tube on hand to fix loose or missing bindings.

Bind-ALL is the same glue used by major manufacturers. StewMac is the only place you can get it in a handy dandy squeezable tube (it's usually sold in glass jars or cans to be brushed on, which gets messy real fast).

WARNING! Contains solvents that will damage nitrocellulose lacquer and other finishes. Use with care around finished instruments.

Store at room temperature.

2.4 fl. oz. (71ml) tube.

Bought this to reattach a binding that was loose on a Martin guitar. Binds very well but watch as it’s very “liquidy” and runs everywhere if not careful. A gel would be much better and the applicator tip doesn’t lend itself to precise application. Holds great but not easy to be precise with it. I have to clean some overflow.

This stuff works wonderfully. It cures quickly and makes binding repair and placement much less of a hassle. I bound a full acoustic and masking tape (a lot of masking tape installed quickly) was almost all that was needed to hold the binding in place while the glue cured. And I have plenty of glue left for future projects.

A 1.5" piece of fingerboard binding came off the neck of my Guild Artist Award jazz guitar while practicing. Fortunately the edges were clean and it was easy to reinstall. Rather than bother my tech with this small job I decided to do it myself. I did a web search and found this product. I estimate that this one tube should last forever as I only used a few drops. You must be careful as the glue will attack the finish. If I ever do this again I'll use a brush to apply the glue to both surfaces. The job came out OK. I might rub out a few tiny bumps where the excess glue oozed out.

I have routinely used many different adhesives for over 40 years with much success. This product is a nightmare because it has literally NO working time, although it says it has 2 minutes. It skins over in 2-3 seconds before you can even apply it! You squeeze some into a pile, go to dip a brush or spreading tool, and it is already drying, making it nearly impossible to work with. I was unable to coat both surfaces due to this issue, and now there is a gap. I may have to completely prepare and re-do the project with another adhesive.
