I was afraid it wouldn't work. I bought a 110v welder in the 80s and it would spark and the rod would stick but no actual welding ability. So I always considered these one 10v welders to be junk. But these newer ones are better with better Electronics. This welder welds just fine. I was surprised. Needless to say if you have a big job or want large welds, you should opt for a 220v welder. But for smaller jobs and projects it works quite well. I don't know how long it'll last. I like the small compact size since I don't have much storage. It can perfectly fit in a drawer.

The welder welds good and works fine on a regular 20 amp living room outlet. The rods it comes with are full of moisture which make it extremely difficult or impossible to strike an arc. I was able to strike an okay arc after heating the rods with a propane torch until no more water vapor came off them. Buy a fresh, sealed pack of rods when you weld.

This is a great welder for someone that's wanting to learn how to weld or someone that only does occasional light welding. Another reviewer mentioned not using the electrode clamps it came with and I can second that. I really like that it's small enough that I can take this with me if I need to go somewhere to do some welding or a friend or family member needs help. Instead of bringing whatever needs welded back to my place to weld it, I can just take this with me and it will work on a household 20 amp outlet.

I have had it for a couple of hours and for the size and price it works well with the testing I have done (all stick welding). I will be using it on some small repair projects around my house and to start a few metal work projects. I will update my review once I have used it more.

Fits right in the bag, can adjust temp .. all and all was worth the 40 something dollars I paid

The welder works as advertised for light duty welding. However, the accessory package is useless. If you want to enjoy using this welder, plan on buying a pair of welding goggles/mask, gloves and a good quality wire brush separately.
