A co-worker introduced me to stone paper, so I had to give it a try. This was my first stone notebook. With standard paper, I tend to balk at ballpoint pens and go for gel. However, stone paper makes ballpoint pens write like a dream. I find myself pulling it out constantly and making use of every inch of every page. There’s no bleed-through, but ink may smear *slightly* (though not to the point of being illegible). The pages are sturdy and a nice thickness, so no need to worry about accidental tears. I’ve saved this notebook to my list to re-order in the near-future.

I’ve never filled an entire notebook until this one. The pages are super smooth and very nice to write on. They also seem to be water proof/resistant. Will be buying again.

Great notebook, but ink used in gel, fountain, and even ball point pens I’ve tried doesn’t dry quickly enough and has smeared. A Uniball Jetstream pen is the only thing I’ve tried that seems to work well. If I write with lots of pressure, the pen will dent the page, and fountain and gel pens can bleed through to the back of the page. But once the ink is dry, it is permanent; I have poured water on pages and the notebook is waterproof as advertised.

So much smoother than regular paper. Easy to erase and just feels wonderful. Nice heavier weight too.

Brought this on a marine biology trip and it held up well. I tested it and the ink initially ran and the paper got soft, but the writing was still very much visible and legible, and the page dried well and didn't tear. Ink needs a little extra time to dry without smudging, but overall this is a very good waterproof notebook.

I bought this notebook really out of curiosity. I am teacher and we were studying a unit on renewable/alternative resource use. This stone notebook seemed like the perfect example of an alternative to a traditional paper-based notebook.Pros- the pages are very smooth, feel similar to paper. The writing quality is great. If need be the pages tear out with minimal waste( from the spiral). The heaviness of the paper is nice it feels like you are writing in a much heavier book than a notebook, which I like.Cons- the only con I had was the notebook cover. The edges are very sharp and pointed. I’ve accidentally poked myself a few times. Perhaps a redesign to a more rounded shape would be better and safer.Overall, great notebook. Give it a try!
