This is a very well made flask. It is one of the thickest glass flask I have seen and at the price I think you would have a hard time finding a better value. I highly recommend to any one using occasionally or everyday as it will stand up to anything.

Be careful. If you purchase this round bottom flask 2000 ML look it over very well. The one I received was used it had who knows some stains inside from whatever. The craftsmanship was horrible. It looks like a round flat bottom, but not as flat as an original flat bottom just poor craftsmanship for the money that you spend for it. I sent it back.

It won’t sit up with out holding something to hold it I used the box it came in cut 2 holes in it for it to stick through

The ground glass joints are not a standard taper; the outer portion of the taper is too large of a diameter; these will never seal correctly with a vacuum unless you use LOTS of PTFE tape and that will limit temperatures.The neck rims are extremely thick and will not accept standard metal keck clips; you must use plastic or none at all; and even then, the plastic seems to be stretched pretty bad. It seems like most of the thick wall in these flasks is around the stopper.They do handle heat and thermal shock acceptably. Just don't expect precision fits... good for a hobbyist doing non-complex or atmospheric reactions. It is definitely worth to spend the bit more and get a nicer unit.
