This thing is buttery smooth and has not given me any issues. I have several reels in the same price range and this one is my favorite by a long shot. Drag feels nice, everything is smooth, and it looks great. I’ve been using it for flounder and sea bass mostly, and it performs as expected. Looking forward to hooking into some bigger species with it this season.

I bought a static 23, 1000,I also have a 500 of a different Shimano model.Insure, saltwater for trout, reds, and flounder. This little Raul is tough as nails.I have yet to be spooled, and I have yet to have a red, trout, or flounder here on the Texas coast, that Raul, along with a good quality, medium light, action rod, not pull in. I will be buying again.Shimano outdid themselves on remodeling this new strata 23, reminds me of my Stella

I have been using this for trout fishing, it is smooth and well-made. Every inch of this reel is a looker, and there is zero slop, none on the handle, none when you try to back reel, and none on the drag. The bail also feels very solid and gives a nice click, I only had a sticky bail on 1/4 reels I ordered. If you are wondering if it's worth the splurge, do it!

Habe die Shimano Stradic 2500 an meine Sportex Curve Spin 240 gepackt zum Jiggen am See mit Gufis… die Rolle hat absolut kein Spiel, kurbelt ganz leicht los und verlegt die Schnur perfekt!Klare Kaufempfehlung!
