First off, it's a cold shoe because there are no electrical contacts. Call me pedantic, but I am just a little salty about the fact that it's too narrow and I can't mount anything onto the shoe. My LED panel won't slide on.I originally bought this to do an overhead broad lighting setup on a mic arm. That didn't work out, so now I'm using it to build a makeshift reflector with the shoe removed, my LED panel on one end, and a clamp for holding up a reflecting board at the other. It's great for the money. Just fix the shoe mount please.
