I gave this 5 stars because it fits my LG clothes dryer. It is simple, easily pieced together and works. However, it is not the best machined item. You will need to put it together away from the dryer the first time. There are no threads on the parts which clamp, so you need to screw it together a few times. It is maybe 25 cents in parts. That said, it fits, goes together, and once done you are good to go.

I was a little leery about ordering with a few reviewers reporting compatibility issues, but this went in easily for our LG electric dryer. Getting the threads started on the bottom (the small holes), took a little effort - getting the threads going prior to installation and then installing in place would probably have made this simple job even simpler.

Bought this to replace the strain relief on my Samsung washer. It originally came with one, but I bought it used and the seller never installed it (and seemingly just threw it away). As such, the wires were just hanging out from the terminals with no strain relief at all. Removed the wires from the terminal block, re-routed them, and put this strain relief in. No more problem.

As others have said, worked with LG Dryer at least better than the clamp that came with the power cord. Still kind of a pain as LG makes the hole with a flange that gets in the way. But this can work.

Correct piece I needed for dryer cord. Installs quickly. Not much else to say.

My new dryer did not come with this. Code requires it to relieve the strain on the connection
