I was surprised at how thick the coating is on this clothesline. The cable is also thicker than what I'm used to, and I actually prefer it this way as my device that I use to connect the two ends relies on having the cable about this thickness instead of the thinner versions you can find online elsewhere. The gold color is kind of nice, but really didn't matter to me. I had the "blue" (thinner version) before and it lasted only two years. We live near the ocean and once they get any salty air, they start to corrode quickly. So far this one is doing very well. I can recommend this product.

The similar product we bought at our local chain hardware store was a big disappointment. The line kept stretching and had to be retightened frequently. Until after maybe only a few weeks of use it broke. We found this one on Amazon. The steel inside is MUCH thicker gauge. It is not stretching out. It is what we all used to use for a clothesline. It is a good product that does its one purpose very well.

I hope this clothesline lasts! This is exactly what I needed. It is strong enough to hold a king sized bedspread without bowing. The line is up year round so I am curious to see how it holds up to the sun. It is difficult to cut. Very strong!

I love this, it's so much better than the cloth type clothesline it replaced. I have it strung across a 35 foot length and have had it loaded down with quite a bit of weight. It has help up well for the last several months that I've used it. The smooth coating makes it very easy to clean. I've had to re-tighten it a few times but that probably has more to do with my not securing it well enough.Another thing, between the steel color and the see-through coating, when not in use it's almost invisible, which is nice.You will need proper hardware to secure this line, don't expect to tie it off. It's too strong for that. But U-clamps are cheap.

My husband made me a clothesline that I asked for and this wire is working out great. I got the gold and I really like the color. The wire was very easy to install.

Pleased with this Strata clothesline. I have it rigged up under our deck on screw eye hooks (no fancy hardware or pulley system) and it works brilliantly and maintains its tension under a good load. The pvc coating keeps it clean and protected from moisture. Good stuff!

The Strata clothesline looked really great after it was installed. But then I noticed that the line was drooping after a few days. How could that be with galvanized wire? Well, the PVC (plastic coating) was stretchering to the point where it was longer than the galvanized wire, thus added length and sagging.So, what looked actually was not. To fix the problem, I had to strip or remove the plastic coating from about 4" at the end of the wire. Then I secured the bare metal wire. No more stretching! But, I shouldn't have had to do this and it took a lot extra time. Find something else.

Reveived my product looÄ·s great heavier than i expexted. But will do the job. Am waiting for a little better weather to put it up but i am sure it will work nicely

Quality clothes line, $10.00 less than the hardware store. I don’t have a clothes dryer, prefer the outdoors. Did the job. Will probably outlast me.

The line is coated to protect against the weather and from damaging the clothes. Good value for the cost of line.

Great product. Works well. It is 3/16†diameter.NOT 1/8†as is written by another reviewer.I ordered wrong parts because of that review and had to go to the hardware store to complete my project. I am fully disabled and it was a pain in the butt.
