This paper is required for Watts Atelier charcoal drawing classes. It's ok. You need to draw lightly at first, if you think you're going to erase alot later. Too hard and you'll have a problem getting the charcoal entirely off. Overall, I like it. You can get quite a few practice drawings on per page and you dont feel bad about "wasting " paper.

I had to get this for art classes. I really like the material, but one annoying this is how easily the pages can come out of the book.

I use this newsprint for making ceramic underglaze transfers and this is the paper that doesn't tear apart when you apply and wet the back side to transfer the glaze. Big plus!

Exactly what I wanted for printing family newspapers! The quality was great. The paper was well made and thicker than I thought based on other reviews. If you look at the weight it’s thicker than computer paper. It printed beautifully with bright and clear colors and photo images. My sister used the excess and also reports it’s superb quality for art (she’s in art college so knows her stuff). My only complaint is that it’s very difficult to tear and often ripped if I didn’t take my time.

the paper feels nice with charcoal or other types of pencils. i would recommend getting a different size from what i bought, as mine is too long for a backpack but awkwardly small for a portfolio bag. that is my bad for not reading the dimensions, though.
