Fish a lot of strike king lures ans opted to try this braid (8lb) on my spinning reels. It's a quality braid without breaking the bank, one of the best values I've found in awhile and it's occasionally on sale here. I live the smaller diameter in the lower pound tests. It's not too thick and comes off the spool well. I will note that I fish this stuff exclusively on spinning reels. The hi vis yellow is a great color and I've had zero issues with a fluro leader.I'll put this up against finesse specific braids such as Daiwa j braid and the kast king version. No issues and a good price.

This braid is solid. It casts well and it’s strong. You can feel confident that if you get stuck in some thick nasty stuff, you will get out of it. Strike King did a great job on this line. The negative comments are from people who don’t know how to use or throw braid. Ignore them. Get this line and for the price, it’s a steal.

I love this line especially for the price of ONLY $10 FOR 300YARDS!!!! The only bad part is that it discolors but that isn’t a big problem for me since I’m a normal fishermen for ponds, lakes & rivers haven’t tried saltwater but I’m sure it works fine there too.in the fifth picture shoes the discoloration. If you need some fishing line for cheap and wood quality get this. Also this is a name brand. I have a bunch of their items they sell at docks and Walmart.

I bought the 50lb braid for my baitcasters and it works great. Doesn’t tangle easy, and is very durable. Knots hold very well with it and it doesn’t have much spool memory at all. Wish I could buy it in 1000 yard spools. The suction cup that comes with it is extremely helpful when having to re-line while out fishing, you can even change the spool tension on it when lining your reel.

After working with the Contra Braid for 2 weeks it has passed my initial expectations. A bit stiff to start, it has smoothed out noticeably. I'm using 10 lb. test line and have only caught a half dozen 3 pounders and several less than that. I like the line, casts great, retrieves smooth, lays in the reel flat. I've been throwing 1/4 oz. to 1/2 oz. baits.

I've been using this on my ultralight spinning setups for panfish and creek fishing and really like it. Definitely casts better than the old mono I had and I also really enjoy that it's makes watching my line for hits a bit easier.

Strong braid. I've landed countless Texas slot redfish (20-28") on it, but I find that wind knots are more of an issue with this braid than any other braid that I use with soft plastics, spoons, and top-waters. I have several of the same Penn Fierce III 4000 rod/reel spinning combos, all outfitted with 20lb braid and 30lb mono leaders. I now only use this braid on the rod set-up for cutbait to mitigate the wind-knot issue. Fewer casts and retrieves means fewer wind knots.
