I was concerned that having to stop and rewind the only spool provided with my electric trimmer would significantly slow down getting a large job done, so I ordered this handy kit. Although these kits are said to be compatible with your tool, you never know until you've installed and used them. I'm happy to say that they are compatible in every way. Just after receiving the kit, my main spool's trimming cord jammed and I couldn't free it. I popped in one of the spools in this kit and was back at work in a few minutes. Having an additional cap that goes over the spool to lock it in place is a nice backup feature.

I find this string much better than the original spools that came with my trimmer. It actually automatically feeds unlike my originals. The plastic seems a bit stronger, but it’s still pretty weak, and I have to feed out more often. But at least it feeds!

I had a gas trimmer that had string on two sides. When it would break it was a 10 minute process to get it going again. The Greenworks trimmer string is a bit pricey, but worth every penny when needing to install new string. I am happy with the trimmer and string system.

I shopped high and low for a trimmer spool that would fit my green works trimmer. Purchased several from various places and non of them work. Even went so far as to unspool the ones that didn’t fit and placed them on my used spool. I like that at least 13 spools came with this purchase, they will lasts a long time, considering I have a small front and back yard. Hopefully this company continues to carry this particular product.

Trimmer line is poorly wrapped around spool and is over wrapped at various points over itself, so the line doesn’t automatically feed. You have to stop each time it happens and remove the spool to pull the line out from under itself, so it will continue to feed. Time consuming and very annoying!
