The Clatoon Strut Spreader Tool is a fantastic addition to my toolkit for suspension repairs. This universal tool is compatible with various brands, including VW, Audi, BMW, Ford, and Mini, making it versatile for any automotive enthusiast. The 5-11 mm size range is perfect for strut knuckles, and the sturdy construction ensures it can handle tough jobs without any issues. It makes the strut installation process much easier and more efficient. If you’re looking for a reliable and effective suspension strut spreader, I highly recommend this tool!

This is a tool not often used by most do it yourselfers but it is extremely handy. I fought removal of the struts for a long time before purchasing. This tool makes that job so much easier and has multiple options for different sizes and condition of the strut housing.

Used this on a front strut mount for a Ford Focus ST. It did comply. Barely. Held in position with a long 19mm wrench and gave 'er with a 17mm ratchet until it wouldn't move anymore. there isn't much travel that this provides, to be honest, but it was enough to get the work done. The threads were binding, the metal looks like I was chewing it up a bit... This piece will find its eternal repose in the scrap bucket after this job, BUT, for the price? It did its duty. I imagine your situation will be the same. It's not made of tool steel, but if you're doing one set of struts, this will get you there.

Used this to replace the front struts on my 2009 MKV MK5 GTI and it worked great. I already had the other spreader tools I was mainly after the toe jack looking thing, and it works great. I would suggest lubing it so it is a bit easier to raise and lower, but otherwise it works great and doesn't easily pop out like the normal strut spreaders.

This was the same cost as some socket (only) types so I took the bate. I ended up using the socket type because there was no guesswork involved. The mini spreader can open wider than the sockets so I just went the easy route. Glad I have it, just in case, though. Seems well made (enough).

Solid construction. Looks to be a good product. It did come with two hex head sockets. The only thing is, that the tool does not have bolt head that will accommodate an external hex head socket. It makes no sense to have those included.
