While the part is made of quality material. It is strong and well made. It was the correct diameter however it was too thick thus not allowing the part to be put back together. I had to source another replacement elsewhere.

My husband did what he was suppose to, and when tried to put the stub axle back into the differential this ring broke right away. Was a waste of our money, and ended up using the one we took out of it.

This snap ring is much larger wire gauge when compared to the original snap ring on the coupler for the RF axle on my 93 K1500 GM 8.25" IFS Diff. I could not find this part anywhere but from Yukon Gear unfortunately. I highly recommend sourcing the original style part from Chevy/GM somehow. I was stuck in a pinch with my truck apart on the hoist over a holiday weekend. Ended up taking the tip of the axle shaft to a grinding stone in order to create a larger chamfer/space for the ring while installing. I tried for quite sometime with a 35MM deep impact socket and large brass hammer to seat the gear on the shaft. The ring is really strong steel and all it was doing was smashing a giant groove into the end of the axle. If I had a better option, this part would of been hucked in the trash. About 2 years ago i replaced the axle seal on this side. A couple months later the axle shaft slid out of the extension housing a little and started leaking again. That time I paid for a shop to look at it that had more experience with older 4x4s than I do.They claimed to replace the circlip with a new one and installed a new seal at the time too. Sometime in the past couple months the axle slid out again. I never noticed, because it never moved enough to leak. I only noticed the issue this time when i went to use 4WD in the snow and didn't get any engagement. After looking all over at parts stores, Rock Auto and Summit I was unable to find this circlip anywhere until i stumbled on this. Took my chances with the part based off the less than stellar reviews. If I have an issue with the seal down the line or the axle coming back out I'll be buying a new inner axle shaft and the OEM clip. I do not think it will come apart on its own again though. It took a very hard hammer swing to finally seat.

Yes as said in other reviews this part seems bigger but it will go. My clip did not appear to broken but the axle kept pulling out so I ordered this one I ended up filing the bevel on the end of the axle slightly steeper to help and using the socket used for the cv axle nut I drove the gear with the ring installed on the end of the axle. I had to hit it pretty hard with a 1lb dead blow hammer(harder than I thought I should) but it did go and I haven't had any more trouble.

I didn’t like that the gap it was too opened or small hope it stays on

Pretty expensive for a piece of a coil wire but fits perfect. For my GM 8.25" IFS front differential axle, it was extremely tight and I decided to return them even though they matched the clip I pulled out.

The wire gauge that this was made of was too thick and wouldn’t even fit in the groove of the axle.
