I first tested the detection function and noticed it was set to m (meters) as the factory default. So I looked in the manual and they have the manual setup as buttons of detection function... and below that buttons of laser range function. Be aware that the manual is less than clear on where you change the unit of measure. the right arrow button under Buttons of laser ranging function should read "press and hold to switch units of measure" but only reads switch units. Once this is pressed and held it switchs from m to ' " which means feet and inches. It changes the unit of measure for both the detection and the laser ranging functions. Us folks in the US are behind the rest of the world in adopting metric measure and it does not help that I am older and set in my ways, but... with the help of their support with question placed through Amazon, they replied right away and I was back to testing the unit.It works very well and thus the 5 stars. I like the ease of handling of the device and it charges pretty quickly so after doing take offs on a remodel home, I was able to charge in my car on the way to the next appointment. The detection function is a plus for me as I often need to know where wiring is run in a home to avoid moving them or demolishing them and then having to rerun electrical. Sometimes it can't be avoided, but this thing has me wise to the major wire runs in walls and ceilings.I can recommend this product.

I just got my 2-in-1 Stud Finder/Wall Scanner and laser measure from the Aicevoos Store. Color me thoroughly impressed!This whiz-bang gadget is far more than I knew a stud finder could do. Other than washing the windows and doing the dishes, it seems to do just about everything else. This device truly puts my old stud finder to shame. Inside the internal box is the device itself but includes a really substantial hard-sided protective case and carrying strap. My only "negative" about the case is that is a smidgen too small to hold the thorough, multi-language manual. Personally, I would like to be able to keep the manual inside the case along with the device but maybe that's just me.I would recommend this Stud Finder/Wall Scanner from the Aicevoos Store 10 out of 10. I think it would be essential for any do-it-yourselfer hanging pictures or shelves, mounting TVs, doing home improvements, etc.. Makes a great gift.

This is a WOW unit. If you're looking for an all-in-one measuring and sensing tool for indoor use, this just might fit your needs. The unit comes with a decently written instruction manual (in multiple languages), a nice, semi-hard shell case, charging cable and lanyard. Because it has so many different sensing and measuring functions, you will need to take a little bit of time reading the manual and tying out the different functions. Accuracy of stud and wiring sensing (on sheet rock walls) is actually pretty good. You do have to manually switch between metal and wood sensing, depending on what you're trying to locate. The laser distance measurement tool is easily the most complex, and contains multiple different ways to conduct measurements. Again, some time with the manual may be required to get the most out of the tool. About the only thing missing is a Bluetooth connection to upload measurements into a connected device or app.So, this all-in-one measuring and sensing tool is a handy addition to the old tool box. Just take some time with the manual to understand how to use all of it's functionality.

Seems to work pretty well. Doesn't always perfectly detect the centerline of a stud, but I have yet to have it tell me a wall cavity was empty when there was actually something there (copper water pipes, romex, even low voltage wiring). It seems to trace 120v romex pretty well, which is one of the main things I wanted it for, so for that, it's been great. I also like that it's rechargeable and comes with a case, so I can keep all the bits together in my toolbag. I just wish that the instruction manual fit inside the case with the stud finder.This cost less than 1/2 of what I was considering spending on a certain name brand wall scanner, and for the savings, I can afford a few extra drill holes to find the perfect center of a stud. Again, I mostly wanted this for wire tracing, and that it does pretty well.

I suggest you read the manual first before attempting to use it. I feel this is not one of the apparatuses that you can use by instinct. Unless you want to spend several hours getting to know it, otherwise read the manual and the practicality of it will come with ease. It is really cool how it detects different materials inside the walls for whatever improvements or adjustments you need to do to your walls. It does beep and it is a little loud but not excessive. Real cool measuring feature too. Once you get the hang of it it definitely does come in handy. Comes with case, manual and charging cable.

We really only need this to hang the occasional picture or shelf. That’s sad. There is a learning curve when first using this, but once we got the hang of it, it saved us a lot of time and prevented a lot of unnecessary holes in the wall. Good addition to our tool chest.

Si lo quieres para medir distancias va muy bien pero para detectar metales (cables, tuberÃas, etc) no va bien. Todo el tiempo tiene alertas intermitentes e imprecisas. Detecte cables donde no hay constantemente
