Accurate Detection. With this stud finder wall scanner, you can quickly find wiring, pipes, metal or wood as deep as 2 inches into drywall or plaster without making any extra holes.
Step one: Choose the Mode
Press ON/OFF button to open the stud finder,and choose one mode that desired
Step two: Calibration the tool
After choose the mode, press and hold the scan button( on the side of the tool) to calibrate this tool.
Step three: Scan on the Wall
Move the stud finder along the wall slowly,but note that if shake or lift the scanner accidentally, the device needs to be re-calibrated.
Step four: Find the Location
When the signal bar is full and the beep alarm is loudest, it means you have found the center of an object.Mark it with your pencil.

It's similar to other stud finders - it finds studs (as well as wires or pipes). It's easy to use and pretty quick. This won't work on thick concrete walls as other reviewers have said, but on drywall it works perfectly. To use, just turn it on, choose the appropriate setting, then press it it to the wall and hold the button to calibrate, then slowly move it along the wall until it beeps. Repeat the steps on the other side to confirm and mark the stud/wire/pipe and you're good to go.

Tested and works great now I can carry one less toolDon’t expect it to be absolutely perfect kinda touchy but with the fist test checks out

Based on how the unit looked out of the box, I suspect that it was a return. The photos don't show nearly as well as in person, but you can still see that the screen not only had no protective film, but also has what appears to be finger smudges. And the 'pads' that float against the wall are dirty, with particles of who knows what embedded within them. Disappointing since I purchased new and not used.It comes with a battery installed, which is nice, and it turned on with no problem. I've yet to read the long set of instructions to see what all of the functions are and how they work, but I did try out a simple stud search and it appears to have nice accuracy, with a side note* (more on that next).Another negative is the way the unit feels while swiping it across the wall. The pads are made of what I can only describe as one half of hook and loop (Velcro). It's not very smooth at all, and the feel of it when swiping it is 'off'. *It's a little scratchy against the wall and I believe you do lose some accuracy as a result because instead of a nice smooth run, it 'jumps' a bit from being 'scratchy'. It's like using an optical mouse when you need to pinpoint something really small on your screen and should have a laser mouse. Hope that makes sense.If I find any issues or find that it has some great features, I will update my review at a later date.

Accurate stud finder. Took me a little to understand everything it’s telling me but once you read the instructions and understand it it is highly effective at telling you where there are studs, metal, and wires.

Kind of work but you gotta do many passes. To me not that consistent, functionality is lacking. I’ve got an older one that works much better and it’s really old and banged up but still much better than this brand new.

This was 2nd one I purchased after the 1st that I have been using for a long time failed on me.Impressed with this one! I’ve been using it for a few months now. The instructions with pictures and tips helped me quickly understand how to use the tool,and I was able to finish my project without any hassle.

This is a much better stud finder than other ones out there. I’ve gone through a few stud finders over the years & this one works the best & is the most accurate. It also has multiple features that regular stud finders don’t include. It detects not only the studs but also indicates the edges of the stud. It also will detect different size studs.The best part is that it comes with everything you need, including a screwdriver to open the battery compartment. It also came with 9 volt battery.

This finder is the best I have used. Very good display, arrow shows which direction to move to locate the centre of the stud. Works a little different from older stud finders, you press the calibrate button to calibrate the device but you do not keep holding it while you scan. Things I would change ...... the viewing angle for the display is a bit narrow. I found it a little difficult to see in tight quarters near the floor while nailing baseboard. I would move the calibrate button. It is right where you hold the device while moving it across the wall. Low price, easy to use, accurate, reasonable instruction book.
