This one cools great & I like that it dries soft/pliable so you can put it back in the bag. I've had cooling towels from other brands before, and sometimes they dry rigid.

I used these over summer to help keep my newborn cool during the heat. They worked well keeping him comfortable. They had enough length to cover his whole body. I wish they stayed wet a little longer, but it wasn’t much of an issue.

We bought these to take to Disney! A true lifesaver! These kept up cool in the Florida sun, and they are easy to attach to a bag, back pack or your jeans belt loop!

I bought these for a cruise, not knowing how well they'd work and with the assumption they'd be impossible to clean and intended to toss them out after use. I was VERY surprised at how well they work and even happier when I tried washing one and found out that the fabric holds up extremely well. I highly recommend these for the price, quality, and ease of use.One note- if it's windy- it dries alot faster so make sure you keep extra water with you to keep it wet. Obviously "ice cold" water works best- but on a recent hike I was using "luke warm" water and that worked as well.

Bought an 8 pack and handed them out to our group for our recent trip to Europe where it was very hot. These were a life saver. They really do keep you cool. They are lightweight and come with a pouch and clip so you can clip them to your bag. The price came to $2.50 each. They really did do the trick keep8ng us cool.

The first one we bought and they are exactly what it said they would be. They stay wet for quite a few hours and you just have to shake them to make them cold again. The size is correct and big enough to drape over the shoulders even. I should have bought the 2nd ones from this seller too. I really got taken the 2nd time of buying cool down towels! Grrr!

How much the cooling effect is down to the material is up for debates (or laboratory tests). If you soak it in water, squeeze out excess water, what is left is a damp piece of cloth. This will either be hot if we used hot water to soak it (not a good idea), or it will be cold / cool since that's the temperature water used for soaking. That's the first part. The part is as you use it, how is the "cool" maintained? I have used this over a 6-hour walk with various stops in between. I used one towel for about 5 hours. It was outdoor, countryside / beach walk, so it was not that hot, about 24-25C, but cloudy with some direct sun. The towel remained damp for about 2.5 hours, and the remaining of the 5 hours, it didn't not get warm. Yes, I have stretched it several times, and each time, there was more coolness. For the last hour, I switched to another towel, that had been in the pouch, already damp. It remained damp from the pouch. And the coolness was good.Anything that is relatively lower temperature to the body will likely result in us feeling cool, our brain might pick up such a signal so the result is a damp cloth give us coolness. It's probably that this kind of towel (and material) prolongs the coolness, or prolongs the dampness that then maintains the coolness, that gives this characteristic. There is a level of "expectation" that it gives us coolness, that's psychology I suppose. There is probably enough of comparison between a "normal" towel, and this towel, being treated in the same way, and which hold holds dampness longer, and therefore gives coolness longer. For me, I will use this on the basis that the material is light. In a way, using a normal towel and wet it, will be a rather odd thing to do when it looks more like a person with a bath towel around his neck. I have used it several times in door, and the coolness last about 2.5 hours.I have not used in bright hot direct sun light, but I have so far used it once in a gym session. From that gym session, I came away thinking I had much less sweat than using a normal towel, by about 20%.Since these towels cost about the same (or lower) as a "normal" towel at comparable size dimension, it's another reason that this is a better choice. It is far lighter and thinner. On top of all that, the colours are bonus.I will use these fairly regularly so might have updates in a few weeks.
