It is non-toxic, water-resistant and machine washable, but it is flammable and cannot be dry-cleaned. There is virtually no waste because even very small pieces can be used.

This foam works very well. I like the quality of it. It's flexible, yet sturdy. I bought it to use for commercial embroidery puff designs on Flex Fit hats.

I'm on a couple of Facebook group pages where everyone is monogramming the straw bags from Target and the straw hats from the dollar stores. I tried a straw hat using craft foam and became concerned that continued use of that product might crumble into my machine, so I bought this to use for its intended purpose. It pulls away nicely from the monogram, even the little spaces. It was recommended that you use a 3D font or put this foam after you have stitched your underlayment stitches. My software doesn't easily skip the underlayment stitches or make it easy for me to stop when they are complete (and if you have a 3 letter monogram, that's stopping it 3 times and moving the foam around). I'll save my pennies for a 3D font because they are quite expensive, and see how the foam improves those monograms.

This foam is easy to work with. The adhesion score is confusing since it has no adhesive on the foam.You can easily use this foam by setting your starting point in the middle of taping the foam down if it's a small piece

The foam is just the right thickness for embroidering puffy letters and designs. Foam sheets sold at local, discount stores were found too thin and not as uniformly pierced by the needle which makes it difficult to remove excess.
