This product works very well for bigger pieces. There are products that use sheets you can put through the printer and they don’t work if you have a large piece to your appliqué.

Sulky is my favorite stabilizer when it comes to embroidering. I love that it is tear away and iron on. It is super simple. Cut the piece as large as you need it. I always put two layers of stabilizer. Once you are finished with your embroidery design simply grab the end of the stabilizer and pull away. All the lose pieces will easy tear away. It makes your embroidery look so clean from the inside of the shirt. I know this doesn't matter to some people, but it matters to me!

I needed to make a long pleated skirt for a costume, after struggling with pins I bought this and it made it so much easier. The product is also reusable, so keep it for many projects

This product was recommended by different sites as something that could be used to transfer an embroidery design to dark fabric. I am not sure if I overlooked something in the package directions or description but it did not easily remove from my hand embroidered project -- even carefully using very sharp tweezers in addition to a small seam ripper.. All the stitches loosened and I will have to redo it all. So disappointing. I think it would probably work for machine applique and embroidery though.

I'm new to machine embroidery and took classes at the sewing center I bought the machine at. This is the brand they recommend using. I like the tear away because you don't have the extra bulk or material after you finish the embroidery because it tears away.

Great stabilizer, I use it for my embroidery and so far I'm very pleased with it. It sticks well when ironed on but removes easily afterwards - exactly what you want from a stabilizer I guess!
