I was trying to replace some old shimano Velcro straps I had that were much longer. These do work well, and have a strong grasp, but are a bit short for my needs. They might hold a two to three poles together, but I was looking for something a bit longer. Still a great deal for the amount you get vs cost.

I have a number of 2-piece rods from ultra-light to 10’ heavy power surf rods. The new high carbon rods and composite rods can be at risk when traveling. These rod ties cushion and hold them in a fixed position protecting them from breakage. And the ties fit easily in your pocket or Velcro them around the handle of you tackle box or boat rail while fishing. Can’t have too many of these.

Theis hold your pole halves together. Works great, has a stretch built in to hold tight where ever you put them.
