About this item

  • The max wide that alligator clips open is 10mm. Voltage: 1000V;Current:15A. Banana Plug: 4 mm. These banana plugs leads are stackable. You can plug more than one banana plug into the same banana socket. Kinda like "piggybacking" connections.
  • Extremely handy for electrical fault finding, car electronics or for placing upon ones nipples during moments of pain assisted foreplay. The cables have the really nice pliable feel that make you enjoy working.Silicone Banana/Alegator clips smooth and no kinks and easy to coil for storage.
  • These are useful little leads for all sorts of electrical and electronic work. Add this to your meter bag. when you need a third hand, or have to test many circuits sequentially, this is an absolute necessity. nice rubber insulation and the banana plugs mate easily with a regular bench power supply or a regular meter.
  • The clips are strong and banana plugs are firm and fit tight the way banana plugs should. The length of these from clamp tip to banana "piggy back" is about 40 inches. These silicon cables stay fairly flexible in cold weather NOT like the other plastic coated cables.
  • The spring on the alligator clips is strong enough, and doesn't appear that it will lessen any time soon. Banana Plug to Alligator Clip Test Lead cables are frequently used in school physics laboratories to quickly and cheaply assemble circuits. They are useful for connecting components to wires.

These are the best I've found! However, the spring in the alligator clip is very strong, which is very good for the connection - but hard on fingers. If the round part of the alligator clip's molded handle had a flat outer surface, it would make them much easier to use. The 5 colors are very useful, although I'd like to have a 6th color, especially white. If you do much with electronics or electrical, you know how much time can be wasted with unreliable test leads. These silicon test leads are very flexible, yet provide solid and reliable connections - while being reasonably priced. They are rated at 1000 V, which I assume is AC. I've used them in short-term, low-current tests at 2000 VDC with no problems. I haven't used them past their 15 Amp rating, and don't recommend doing so.

These test leads are good value for the cost. I purchased two sets and all of the test leads measure no more than 0.2 Ohms end-to-end. The listing implies the wire jacket is silicone; I’m not so sure, but the jacket is nice and flexible at room temperature. The alligator clips at the business end of test leads have well made finger guards and the clips have strong springs that give excellent hold. The length is about one meter and all the test leads in the kits are the same length, within a a few millimeters of each other. Now for the caveat: these test leads are meant strictly for low voltage applications. The plug end of the leads does not have an insulating sleeve, so attention to safety should be exercised. Do not to leave the leads connected to a device under test, while not connected to an insulated instrument input at the other end. The loose plug ends could short together or leave voltage exposed. The clip jaws are partially exposed and the finger guard has a small air gap between the guard and the wire jacket. The best use would be automotive diagnostics, or hobby work with Arduino breadboards and the like.Provided the user is conscientious and uses these leads in a safe manner for the intended purpose, these test leads are very good value.

These are far superior to the ones that you find everywhere that are basically clones but sold under different brand names. For one, these use fairly thick copper wire that is low resistance. The average clips I find are between 1-2 ohms while my multimeter isn't precise enough to accurately measure the resistance of these, so they're much closer to 0. In addition, the banana adapter is superior as it isn't loose in the socket at all so it won't come loose accidentally like some of the ones I've had in the past. You can also stack the banana side so you can run wires of the same voltage to multiple parts of a circuitHowever my favorite part about these, which is why I bought them, is the actual alligator clip. Almost all of the alligator clips you'll find use this soft silicone material that's slippery around the clip, and it makes it hard to open plus it might slip off and they're overall just a hassle to use. These use sturdy plastic that doesn't move around, and opening the jaws (which also use a stronger spring than others) is easy because of the hard plastic and metal.Overall I have zero complaints about these and they are totally worth every penny over other cheap ones.

These clips use a thicker wire than the J-hook clips, which makes them useful for power supply leads. The banana clips use the spring loaded expanding variety where the spring part floats on the central pin. This means the plug can rotate slightly without loosening in the barrel. The alligator clips align nicely and have good insulation all around. They stack well and retain in the barrel of a bench supply, even with another clip stacked on them. If you've had experience with banana plugs, you know they can be hit or miss, these definitely fall into the former category. My only criticisms are they could be a bit longer, 1M seems like a lot until you have a bench supply sitting above the bench and the wire doesn't quite reach. I think 1.5M would be a good compromise between too long and not long enough.I realize these are marketed as "meter clips" but the wire gauge is appropriate for power supply purposes, so I think these are designed for that purpose. The J-hook variant are definitely smaller gauge and designed for much lower current carrying needs, get both to cover all of your common uses.My recommendation to the seller: Put together a package of 1.5M clips with the alligator and J-hook, with larger silicone jacketed wire and sell them for $35. Include some sort of cable hanger/manager to hold them when not in use, and you'd have a great product.

I bought 3 sets of the test leads (Banana to Banana, Banana to HookTip, and Banana to Alligator Clip). As described, the leads are nice and flexible.I already have a small assortment of Red and Black banana test leads, but I like the extra colors (Blue, Green, and Yellow) in order to avoid confusion when connecting multiple pieces of test equipment. I have already used all 5 of the Banana to Banana cables and realized I need more, so I ordered 2 more packs of 5 The Alligator clips are VERY strong (it takes quite a bit of force to open them), so they will have a very strong "bite" on whatever they are connected to !The wires on the "hook tip" leads are slightly thinner than the Banana and Alligator leads, but that corresponds with the lower amperage rating for the hook tips, and I don't see that as a problem since the small hook tips would mostly be used for lower current circuits.

These test leads are far better than I was expecting. They are robust. The alligator clips are quality, strong, feel well built. The cable shielding is thick, highly flexible and of good quality! Their length is longer than I was expecting at 1.05m. Outstanding product! Thank You! Highly recommended!!!!

Bien aimé ces fils siliconés (très en couleurs) :) très maléables et pas encombrants. Les pinces et le double jack sont supers pratiques, et s'adaptent très bien. Bon rapport qualité/prix.
