Very nice. Easy to install. You can leave your joysticks on so as to avoid wearing out the tiny threads. I just can’t use the really nice padded neck strap now since it uses the same attachment points as this does. It is big but it does still fit into the hard case.

Shipped a little loose, but I think i can tighten the hinge screws on the sun blocking piece to keep the visor from falling down just like the hinges on a Yak Attack Black Pack. I expect this to be a smart buy for using the DJI Mini 3 coupled with the DJI RC in the sun; making the screen easier to see in the sun.

Lets start with the positive things first.One: I was surprised how well the sun hood was. While it is made of plastic and I am sure if you used any unreasonable force it would snap at the hinge, but I found the hinges tight and strong so far. No slipping down or any need to constantly re-adjusting the hood.Two: Easy to install. Two thumb screws for the bottom and a simple slip and click for the front. Once it is on I found it to be very solid, not loose at all.Three: With the sun hood closed it covers both joy sticks and protects the RC screen.Four: The sun hood it's self. While it did a decent job at keeping the screen shaded it did have one or two things I wish it did do. But for the money it worked.Now the negative pointsOne: The sun hood makes it thicker and fatter. Stuffing it into a case made for DJI mini 3 is a very very tight fit. The RC wants to pop out most of the time.Two: Putting the screws into the bottom to fasten it in can be a bit fiddle. So take your time and do not cross thread it in.

The best thing about this is that you don’t have to remove the sticks. Just closes it up and throw it in your backpack.

I read up on the use of the RC Controller and how easy it is to lose the toggles, especially if removing them in the field at the end of your flight. To be able to keep them on at all times, even when packed in your bag, is one less thing to worry about. Add its ability to block out the sun and protect the screen, it's a no brainer. Highly recommended.

I was going to 3D print something just like this, but when I came across this unit on Amazon, I was a little concerned that it might not be good enough based on the price. Let me tell you, do not judge a book by its price!This is sturdy, closes very well, and comes with a tool to adjust the hinge and fits like a glove. I don't write a lot of reviews, but when products deserve it, I do.If you're looking for something that will help block the Sun and protect your remote when it's not in use, with the bonus of a neck strap, this is for you.

A really good product that fits perfectly and is easy to install. Shields the screen sufficiently in the brightest sunshine to make viewing a breeze. The only criticism is that it's a little awkward to open initially.
