This is our 4th heated mattress pad. One for parents. One each for 2 children. And one for guests. It's a great feeling to turn the heat one about 30-60 minutes before getting into bed. Sliding into warm sheets make all the difference in the world. We typically turn it off a few minutes after getting into bed. I certainly fall asleep easier and quicker. Living in northern climates (think of 4 months of winter snow) makes a heated mattress pad a necessity. 5 out of 5 star rating. One final note. Guests love it and often say they bought one for themselves.

I really like its control. It has just a few large buttons that you can easily find in the dark without looking. No harsh glowing indicator light. It repeats the last heat level automatically. It turns off the power and turns off the preheat setting after an appropriate amount of time without having to program it. It feels like a very uniform and comfortable heat to me. I have only used it a couple of nights now so I shouldn't comment on durability yet, but with proper care and without abuse, I expect it will last a long time, we'll see.

We have a gel memory topper on our mattress which is excellent for our backs, BUT it also makes the bed cold to get into so we've had a heated mattress pad for several years....but then it stopped working. I prefer to buy most things in person, at a store, where I can see the product, read about it, touch, etc. but I couldn't find one other than online so I bought this one mostly what I consider "on the blind" though I did read the reviews and thought this was the best out of the others I considered......and it turned out to be exactly as I had hoped. First, it turns on almost immediately...no need to wait while it preheats.....and boy, does it put out heat....on my other pad, we had to set it at the top and it would take a few minutes to warm up....on this Sunbeam, it only takes a minute to start feeling the warmth....and I only need to set it to 3 or 4, get into bed and start feeling the warmth.... we've learned that setting it higher is too much heat for us even though our bedroom gets fairly cold as it's not insulated well....so this mattress heating pad is truly GREAT!. and I hope it lasts. Would like to add that one" improvement" I think would help is the control,,,,,it could use a 'slimming" down, in other words it's a bit bulky and the back lighting could be a little brighter, but other than that, it works well and that's the most important part.

hi to all, the first exact cal king heated mattress pad I purchased - also on Amazon - lasted about a year. It seems that if a wire breaks, you get an F2 reading on the temp control and then the product doesn't work. Sunbeam's 5 year warranty was perfect and I was refunded the amount in full. For that reason, I purchased a second one (I didn't use the first vendor only because I wanted to see if maybe the inventory or model was newer) just to see if it made a difference. I received the same model product all in good working order so far. These items are delicate I guess so pick the company that makes whatever you use with the best warranty and don't lose your invoice!

Took a little while to arrive, but definitely worth the wait. The material is heavy duty and very well finished. Our first one lasted for several years. We like the heat selectors even more on this new model. Heats up in a flash in pre-heat mode!

I have a split king bought 2. We have no heat source in the upstairs of our house, so we run an elec space heater, having these we don't need to use it as much and the dogs love it to they don't pant as much

Been buying these for years, about every 3-5. Perfect heat. Not crazy about the placement of the new plug in but we put ours upside down so it's at the top between our pillows. Nothing like getting in a warm bed . Warms my achy cold feet so I can sleep. Love this so much, buying one for my BIL for his neuropathy in his feet. Wish I could give it 10 stars. It's warming my bottom right now as I write this

The bottom 18" or so does not heat at all (no wires there.) The controller received was not the one pictured in the photo. This pad gets only mildly warm, even on the highest setting. The ONLY redeeming thing about this pad is that it is very thick and cushioned, and you can't feel the wires.

I have fibro and most mornings have a hard time getting out of bed. My last heated mattress pad died on my years ago but it used to really help so I started looking for another and found this one. I love the dual zones in our king sized one, I keep mine on a fairly low setting and when I wake up in pain I just reach over to press the button and it heats up in seconds. It has made mornings a little easier. Quick warm up, even heat through out the pad, the cords are long enough to give you the flexibility to put them where it is convenient and the pad itself is nice and comfortable.

Bought this for a partner of mine at the recommendation of Wirecutters 'Best Heated Pad' article, and I am quite pleased with it - the port is a big weirdly placed being in the middle of the pad about a foot up from the edge, but this might be more of an issue for someone sleeping solo than someone sleeping with another. When I have spent time there, we naturally end up kind of on either side of the port - versus if I am laying in the bed alone, my legs are more likely to make contact with it.At the end of the day though, it's a small price to pay for a super comfortable mattress pad that also can quite rapidly keep the chill at bay.

Unfortunately the product arrived defective (it drew power but produced no heat, and could not get it to work no matter what I tried). Fortunately I still had the shipping boxes and the seller made the return process super easy. Absolutely 5-star service from this seller.
