Works well with my raspberry pi. I had problems with input volume as others have said, but it turned out to be a configuration issue (hint: adjust gain to max with alsamixer). After sorting that out it was able to work with my speech recognition program just fine.

Used this with a Pi 4 to make a smart home HID/Rhasspy satellite. Worked fine for voice commands, though YMMV, as I usually use it in a pretty quiet space. Audio is not excellent to actually listen to, but it's good enough for speech to text (with the gain heavily boosted). It's cheap, it works quickly with rhasspy, and it's reliable enough for simple smart home commands.

I purchased this microphone to use with a Raspberry Pi project and it did the job but if you are using in a room with other noise and sounds I would recommend something else. The external sounds interfered with the mic being able to pick up my voice, especially with my tv on.

No fiddling needed to get the device to work using Raspbian Bookworm on a Raspbperry Pi 4B. I am using it for the sound portion of a live YouTube stream using the new Module 3 camera (Wide). It would be nice if it was stereo, but without at least a foot's separation between mic inputs, I don't think making such a small mic stereo would be at all helpful.

Received today and immediately plugged into my Raspberry Pi. Recognized right away and was able to test hardware/drivers without any updates on Raspberry Pi 3B+ (and also tested with Rpi4) as soon as you fire up the microphone to either stream or record a simple .wav or .mp3 file, you get almost nothing but background feedback. I can vaguely hear the TV in the room and when I tap the microphone but speaking from as little as 12 inches away, there is no way to understand what is being said. I tried gain all the way up and different compression settings as well as a number of programs and all with the same result. There is simply no way anyone is using this with a Raspberry Pi in a meaningful way. Completely false advertising.

Works fine, but the supported frequency is quite low. 8 kHz is what it actually samples at if you try and pipe it through gstreamer.Very susceptible to interference. Using it in a pi zero will result in lots of mains power interference noise that is not present in other microphones using the same OTG adapter. I didn't get the same interference in a pi 3. It works just fine for my purposes, but it's a gamble if you're looking for high frequency high quality audio.

It's a great concept, however the audio that it records comes out garbled, cursed, and spooky. I tried speaking and I can't hear a single word I said and I wasn't even that close to the microphone. Very staticky sound. I don't really see how I can use this if it doesn't record sound properly.

Been using it for my Rasberry Pi voice assistant for a few months now, and it's working great! The assistant is in our bedroom and is able to pick voice from anywhere in the room despite ambient noise (from dishwasher and others in kitchen and elsewhere).. of course, speech recognition library settings play a role here. Raspbian Buster could detect it w/o any issues. Originally considered buying a more expensive USB mics with an extended cord but settled with this with for its compactness and I've no regrets!

It works but when using it in group calls or gaming with friends my voice is really soft (even cranked up to max). And when using it with Pycroft rpi asistant or alexa i had to scream for it to recognise a bit of the commands i said

This product saved my life for my raspberry pi project. I had to program Alexa in my raspberry pi — this microphone saved me! I got a really good mark in that class. Would by again :$

Nice little peace of gear however if you aren't familiar with configuration files alsa or making good use of Google while utilising your apt-get function I'd suggest to stay away. Yes it's plug and play for Windows 8-10 but not for the pi or a Linux operating system for that matter. After several arduous hours of trying to get my little Raspberry pi to detect this little sucker I had all but given up hope until I cracked it, however I am now stuck trying to get it to actually work without me being close enough to stick my tongue in the usb port
