I wanted a bulletin board but it seemed difficult to buy. Almost all reviews said the boards had a very thin veneer of cork over cardboard. This pack of cork boards however show that they are solid cork except the thin layer of adhesive since there is no frame to hide the actual thickness. The adhesive sticks right away so be careful placing these. I have one very slightly misaligned, but that is on me. The thickness is as advertised within a reasonable tolerance. It came with the pins so I put it to use right away.**Update: I walked in my office one day and suddenly felt like a rat caught in a sticky trap. I looked down and several of the boards had fallen off the wall and I stepped on one on the sticky side. I placed them back up but this time used a rubber mallet to firmly tap them into place (tap not pound!). They haven't fallen down again.

I used the cork boards to cover a door to decrease noise. I like that it sticks so well.

I love how thick these tiles are. The adhesive was on the entire backside of the cork tile!

I ordered these after reading so many reviews that the adhesive on the back sucks, so I knew what I was getting into. At the same time, I ordered a set of large picture command strips to go with them. All that being said...they were still a pain to finally get in place. I tried leaving the backing on them, putting the command strip over it and putting on the wall that way, but they fell. Then I tried hot glue and they fell again because the glue wouldn't stick to the white backing paper. Next, I cut a section of the white paper out, placed the command strip on the built-in adhesive, and hung, but alas they fell again. My latest attempt has been to hot glue the command strip to the part I cut away on the back. So far it is holding but I may have to use gorilla glue to get the job done.Since I knew that the adhesive was an issue, it didn't bother me as much, but if I hadn't known, then I'd say it would be annoying af (and still kinda is, especially for the price). Besides hanging them, the quality is great. I love the size and shape, and they're thick enough for pushpins to not push through the back. The quality is definitely there and dresses up my office space nicely.

Perfect for what I needed/wanted them for. They’re fun to rearrange in different ways and what not. Will for sure buy this again once I need more!

The main reason for the three starts is that these fall down within a day even when placing on a smooth painted surface. I'll probably need to use some 3M product to get them back on the wall. I wish they would charge a bit more and use better adhesives. The quality of the cork seems good and they are in fact 1/2" thick.

I used these to display some of my Disney enamel pins. The posts on them tend to be thicker and longer than other enamel pins, but these boards work great with them. The pins don't poke through the back, and after moving a pin the hole left behind isn't too large. The cork is nice and soft and not hard like some bulletin boards are, so I'm not worried about the pin backs being damaged. To hang these I left the adhesive back peeling on and hung with double sided 3M tape since I was worried about the adhesive on the board becoming difficult to remove without breaking them/damaging the wall. On one of them I couldn't get the tape to adhered to the back so I adhered cardstock instead to then stick the tape on and it worked perfect the adhesive seems very strong so I'm glad I didn't put it directly on the wall.

My husband and I spent hours cutting and fitting these cork tiles to the walls of one of the offices at my business. We adhered the tiles to drywall, and followed the directions exactly. The next morning, we came in to find that half of the tiles had fallen off of the walls and the rest are peeling up at the edges, ready to fall off at any moment. If these don't adhere to basic drywall, I honestly don't know what they can be used for. I had purchased 12 packs of these so it was a significant investment that was entirely a waste of time and money! So disappointed in this product.

They go up easy and then they fall off. Several are now broken from falling several times. They seem very sticky but I cannot get them to stay.

Nice thick cork board tiles, really chuffed with these, stuck down fine still after two months. Did sand, clean and paint the plaster with a Matt emulsion so not sure if this is why they haven’t fallen off, they are pretty heavy so I can see why some people are having issues with them falling off.

While these definitely will stick to your wall if they send you different sized squares and you only realise after putting up the first two (like what happened with me) you will need to be repainting your wall.2 of them were both one size the other 4 were a different size. They are very sticky but pulled off all the paint on my wall in the process.
