A can of #3 dust came with my table and it was WAY too fast (I’m no pro). This #6 adds just the right amount of speed.

We have a 9-foot table in our finished basement and the original wax that came with it was more of a speed wax. We were constantly running the stones off the end of the table, and found the surface to be much too sensitive. After doing some reading, I found that going with a slower wax - who knew such a thing existed? - would solve our problems.Sure enough, several months later, we are loving the action on the short table with the slower wax. You concentrate less on not running off the end and more on position. The Sun-glo #6 made all the difference in the world to our short table game. We actually love what used to be a frustrating experience.

Arrived on time and as expected. Seems to be good for a short table.

If you've got a short shuffleboard table, this is the powder you've been looking for. Fast enough to keep the pucks going the full length, enough corn meal to help put the brakes on a well shot puck.

You'd think a really slow shuffleboard wax would be great for a small, 9' table. However, this is TOO slow. It's also very inconsistent. At random spots, the pucks will plow through this powder, leaving a line next to their path, and end up stopping rapidly on the flat surface of the table. The end of the table is also a crapshoot - half the time they slide nicely like they should on this wax, but the other half they just catch and stop, digging into the powder.I'm very familiar with how powder should be distributed and sprinkled on the table - in a light but consistent, uniform manner. I've attempted to try less powder and more powder with this speed 6 variety, and I just can't find a sweet spot where it makes for a consistent and pleasurable experience.I would not recommend this powder for a 9' table. Go with a slightly faster (and more consistent) powder, maybe a 5 or even a 4. Keep in mind, I prefer a faster game where the pucks have a chance to curve when they slow down to a stop.

The guy that wrote the review that stated this Sun-Glo 6 was made for short shuffleboard table must have a different board than ours. We have a short 9 foot table at the Pub in the Golf Course, so it gets plenty of use.The stuff that come with the table was OK, but not great. This Sun-Glo 6 sucks!!!! No one likes it. The stuff builds up in front of the puck as it slows down. The puck can make sudden stops with no apparent reason. Very strange product the way it makes the puck act on the board. I'm going to have to go to a good local bar that plays a lot of shuffleboard to see what product that can recommend.

As mentioned by others, the granules are too small and bunch up, the shuffleboard stones DO NOT slide at all on this garbage. Nitpicking, but it's also yellow which my original wax was clear to white, cosmetically unappealing, which I wouldn't care about if it worked but it doesn't so I'm saying every negative..Completely useless product.
