I was trying to find a bulb with a lower nm than typical black lights as it's for a cabinet to display UV reactive minerals. I searched high and low until I came upon these and they're perfect. Light the minerals well and were cheap cheap if you know the black light market.

These light bulbs are ok, they are true 365nm but they unless the bulb is right on top of something that glows it will not glow. It has less then a foot radius and it directional. It also shatters very easy, right of the box one fell maybe 2 feet and then shattered. Depending on where you put it, it may or may not set fully due to its casing. Overall these are not worth it in my opinion. Picture one is lights off with UV rocks and Picture 2 is with lights on with UV rocks.

This is a regular looking screw-in E26 medium base light bulb for 120VAC except that its black on the bottom and clear on the top. This contains a single LED that emits UV light at around 2 watts at a 365nm wavelength. This works great for lighting up florescent paints, some glow in the dark pigments and other florescent materials and pet urine.

I was initially disappointed in this light. It was very dim and did not produce a lot of light. It was being used as part of a decoration. I went out and bought a $5 15w cfl blacklight to use instead, however the cfl actually did not produce as much light as this 2w bulb and ended up using this LED light.I stuck it in front if a white sheet and while nothing around it was illuminated (in visible light), the whole sheet glowed brightly from 2-3 meters away. So it works, and works very well. Still it is a small low powered light I think it was a bit much to pay, but I like it

There seems to be some confusion over this bulb, its specifications, and its intended use. It's important to note that it is a UV bulb, not a black light. It's a narrow-spectrum UV lamp with a peak at 365nm, which is at the upper edge of human detection. So it looks like it's generating very little ambient light, but anything fluorescent will still glow pretty strongly if it's brought in range of the bulb. Its power rating is a little confusing: Both 2 watts and 600 mW are printed on the bulb. I honestly don't know why the latter rating is there; I tested it and found that it was actually consuming 3 watts. It's fair to assume 1 watt is lost in the conversion to DC, leaving 2 watts to drive the LED.All that said, there are some notable drawbacks to this unit. It uses a single UV LED chip, which is both smaller and dimmer than the average single-chip UV flashlight. It's best used in a room with no other sources of light. The chip is mounted flat on a PCB, and it casts light in a relatively narrow cone. If you have the bulb in a lamp, it will fire most of its light towards the ceiling. It's also not dimmable, which is pretty ridiculous given its price and the fact that it uses a standard LED lamp base with plenty of room inside for the necessary circuitry.I think this light is best used to illuminate fluorescent objects nearby, or perhaps as a low-power UV curing lamp. It works great to light up my small collection of vaseline glass trinkets. If you need a black light, though, this isn't it.

i love this bulb...it produces the same light...or visual experience...that made blacklights so fun and interesting in my yourh. it doesn't really put out any light...just causes the uv reactive things glow and everything white suddenly glows a bright white...but not a bright purple which is what most blacklights today seem to do. i have some blacklight posters and uv art that i want to stand out as it ought without having to actually light up the room. these little lights do just that...though they are small and weak and don't cover much ground, they are small enough that i can mount them on little lamp fittings and position them where they are most effective...close enough that the uv is strong when color reacts and far enough away to ensure complete coverage of the area i want. i tried another bulb...i think 7watt...and it was strong enough to cover the whole area i want and do so strongly...but it shone bright enough to cast shadows so it had to go. i use two of these now in this back room, each to a corner of its own so's to reach two walls. and i am getting a couple more for the main room to add emphasis to a couple areas -- even objects already bathed in bright purple blacklight will glow more purely, more beautifully, with the aid of these small bulbs...

I’m very disappointed. As some of the other reviews state, this bulb is underwhelming. It is produces a bluish barely visible light, which is exactly what I was looking for. However, the light itself is very, very weak. Don’t let the attached picture fool you! The iPhones camera can pick up the UV that our eyes can’t see and also brightens the picture. In real life, it looks nothing like this. The cabinet is barely lit and the pieces are barely glowing. This bulb would be great for lighting something within inches from the bulb. If you have a larger cabinet of uranium glass, this won’t work for you. I’m returning this bulb and going with waveform 365nm lights, unfortunately their 10x the price.

Very good spectrum for UV without blue out. Really only bright enough for low light areas

I never write these reviews but I came here seeing if others had this issue. I used it for two Halloweens and this year it was no longer turning on. Says up to 10000 hours but I have probably had it on for less than 10.

Amazing light. Awesomely intense without lighting the room up with a noticeable blue light.
