I have no idea if this deters crime or not, but it does work as advertised with regard to the way the lights work. It has a blinking blue light that is supposed to show a bad guy that the system is armed. Then if you bump the car, it flashes red. Since it is solar operated, I placed it in a location that is not too obtrusive, but still gets light from the sun (side of steering column). In the dark you can definitely see the flashing lights.

This is not even worth sending back, it would not charge with the solar and would not hold a charge with a power adapter and cord I had. It flashed that it was charging i guess but would not charge. It would only work if I had it plugged into my charger... Pure junk

Works just as described if anyone needs translation of the instructions they are here, but it’s pretty self-explanatory. Turn it on when you need it. Turn it off when you don’t.

Definitely noticeable from far. Its nice and the red lights flash if you tap the glass or shake the car. Only thing I don't like is the red and blue flashing lights when I turn it on. I really don't like to turn it on while driving because it flashes really bright red and blue lights for a few seconds while starting up. I hope a cop doesn't see me one day and pulls me over lol. Other than that its great.

So far its good, i ordered another one. So1. Let it charge in sun for a good day or two.2. Turn the small "on" switch on at night, remember to switch it off during day, though, it goes off automatically but helps with solar power for night.3. At night if you don't see it flashing, walk by it or wave your hand, it will start to flash repeatedly after that.I have mine on the passenger side....getting one for driver side...Its simple and basic but my car was broken into recently "with an alarm system in place" so I figured this would help, it gives me some peace, may not be theft proof, my boyfriend thinks thieves will no the difference but hey gotta try. Hopefully it wont stop working like some reviews but I like it, think it's worth it as a deterent....Good luck

It has an ON & OFF Switch along with an USB Charging Port that actually works in sync with the Solar Panel. The small size affords placement just about anywhere inside the Dash, Windowsill or Door. I charged it via the USB only once, turned the switch to ON and placed on my interior that was in direct sunlight continuously. The BLUE LIGHTS come ON at night or in darkness and cycle from left to right CONTINUOUSLY until a shock is felt to the vehicle and then ALL OF THE RED LIGHTS FLASH for approximately 7 Seconds and then RETURNS to the BLUE LIGHTS CYCLING from left to right until another shock to the vehicle is felt.

Hi I ordered this on January 29th didn’t use it right away almost 2 weeks later so now I’m at a list of $$$ because it’s just stopped working I’ve charged it in the house as before and it won’t light up anymore just when I need it the most and I just missed the window to return it on March 4th it said today is March 9, 2022 sadly I was hoping to get another one because I did like it for the short time but oh well I guess so I don’t no how to rate it properly.

RUBBISH! It survived on the dashboard, in the sun, from June 18th, 2024, until August 18th, 2024. It was beneath my kitchen window where I could glance at the flashing blue lights and see it was working through the evening. When I tapped on the car window the red lights would flash briefly. Now, NOTHING!! It is KAPUT!! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! They posted a return expiration date of July 18. It would last until the return expired. Criminal!

I have dark tinted windows on my Grand Cherokee, also a tinted windshield. The factory alarm flashing light on the instrument cluster isn't bright enough to see clearly through the tint especially at night. I had my Jeep for two weeks and some idiot pried the trim around my driver door in an attempt to break into it and then, most likely saw the factory alarm light and left it.The reason I purchased this item was to be a brighter warning signal. The existing charge lasted about a month. I attempted to recharge it via usb and it won't hold a charge. None.. No charge at all. This device is absolutely useless.

False advertisingI paid more for the sunny tech one piece solar burglar light with a USB port. You’re still going to get the one that has no USB port false advertising. There is no USB port.BUYERS BEWARE
