I recently acquired the SUNRISING WW2 US M1936 Haversack Musette Field Bag, and I couldn’t be more impressed with its quality and design. This vintage tactical satchel offers a perfect blend of practicality and military history, making it a must-have for collectors and enthusiasts alike. The canvas material feels incredibly sturdy and authentic to the original WWII design. It's robust enough to withstand daily use, while still looking great with its weathered, military-inspired aesthetic. The spacious interior provides ample room for essentials, and the adjustable shoulder strap makes it easy to carry across my body or over the shoulder. The attention to detail is truly remarkable. From the brass hardware to the vintage stitching, this bag screams authenticity. Whether I'm using it for outdoor adventures, as a functional everyday bag, or just adding it to my collection, it never fails to impress. If you’re looking for a reliable, durable bag with a rich historical connection, this is the one. The SUNRISING M1936 Musette is a functional yet stylish tribute to the past that still holds up in today’s world.

This review is for the SUNRISING WW2 US M1936 Canvas Messenger Bag Vintage Crossbody Shoulder Bag Military Satchel Bag Men Commuter Bag.Ok up for review today we have this cool canvas satchel bag which has some vintage vibes for sure, but lends itself well to modern day too! So this is a lighter weight canvas material, not heavy weight for sure. It's also NOT waxed or oiled, so even though canvas by itself may be somewhat water repellent it's not going to be waterproof. You could easily wax/oil this up yourself if you wanted/needed, if you're not educated in the process google it, watch youtube vids...I have plenty of bags that are waxed/oiled already so don't need that in this bag. This bag is in the style of an old U.S. mail/ WW2 military messenger bag/satchel. This is just a fun style and can go with lots of diff modern outfits! So closely inspecting my bag, first impression is it's a nice lightweight canvas in a khaki/tan color with a hint of yellowish tint. The bag is not the type to have any stiff structure to it as it's not waxed/oiled, there's nothing in it to stiffen it up. It's single layer canvas with a coordinating color binding around the top flap and the small outside side pocket, that small pocket has button close flap. Straps are in a darker coordinating kahaki/tan. It has iron on U.S. on the front flap. Straps are all well sewn with excelllent box stitching at stress points and finished with nice antiqued brass hardware on the front straps.Really happy the front straps/buckles are actual working buckles! They're the type you thread the straps up through the top slot, then back down through the bottom. All other hardware on the bag is black, which I like and looks nice, it's all good quality too. The adjustable shoulder strap can't be removed, I'll fix that in short order LOL.So what I mean by that is I like to be able to change ym bag straps up. The metal rectangle ring the strap is attached by can be ever so sslightly opened and the strap slid off of it, then close it back up. Then I'll put a nice double ended spring clip on the strap and I can change it, put a strap extender on it...The shoulder strap is a bit thinner than I like being only about 1 inch wide but it's made of a nice soft webbing. The shoulder strap seems a bit short to me too. Now I'm short at just 5 feet tall, so if you're tall it may not work for you. But I'm a handicapped woman, I use a cane in my right hand and my service dog is on my left. I wear my bags crossbody to securely carry my stuff and keep my hands free.So another option is to add a shoulder strap cushion to the strap. I just personally prefer a wider guitar type of strap. SSo you have several optionsOn the back of the bag are a couple of interesting straps. I originally thought from pics in the listing this could be worn as a backpack too. But not so as these straps are too short. So they have metal snap clips and hook metal D-rings at the bottom of the bag. They each have only a small amount of adfjustability. So these could be used to secure the bag to bike handle bars or wear it crossbody with the shoulder strap and run a belt through to hold the bag close to your body/clip them to belt loops, or these could be used to wear it as a hip bag! The shoulder strap can always mjust be tucked inside the bag too so it's out of the way/sight.Stitching is perfect everywhere upon close inspection, seams are all straight, boxed stitching where needed, not a single missed stitch or stray thread anywhere! Not a single problem anywhere on the canvas material either, no holes... It's not unusual to find an area or 2 with thickened thread somewhere in the weave of canvas/duck material, but I found none!I already mentioned the one outside side pocket, it's small but will hold a normal slender size water bottle, keys or whatever. On the back of the bag is a button close pocket the full size of the bag. Inside the bag under the flap you'll find 2 full size slip in pockets, they're the full size of the bag. In front of them is the main lage pocket with a good amount of room. Also at the top of the inside against the back is a kinda odd wide loop, but it's perfect to stow the shoulder strap in out of the way if not using it! What a great idea! Also the button holes cut in the canvas (there's only 2 and they're small) are not sewn/finished off. It's typical but I'll prob sew around them with some nice heavy weight waxed thread just to prevent any fraying of the material. Oh also, if you do wax/oil the bag, be aware it will darken the color somewhat. Just an FYI if you're not familiar with the process.Well I think that pretty much covers all the details/info/assessment I can for the bag. I really like and I'll have fun using it!Regular price $30.99 per the listing, which I feel is high despite how much I do like the bag. But there are 2 coupons for 10% off and I believe they should stack. So feeling better about it. This would make a nice gift for the right person too! I don't know how accurate this is but it could be used for cosplay/reenactments...?As always I only do honest reviews and update if needed. I hope this helps you make the best choices how to spend your $.

I was looking for a bag to carry a mini PC, misc cables, papers, folders, clipboards, and etc., between my house and workshop. The PC is a bit too large to comfortably fit in a typical laptop bag, didn't want to use a typical backpack, either. Saw this and decided to give it a try.Overall, it is a decent bag and barely does all the things I need. Under the flap, there Is a spacious front pocket that easily holds all the small stuff to include the PC, followed by two thinner pockets great for folders and such. Outside, on the back is another thin pocket that can hold folders, although it is a bit more difficult to access due to the straps. The stitching appears to be very good and the material is an attractive tan, good quality canvas.Where it falls short for me, literally, is when I want to carry a clipboard, which is a bit taller than intended for the bag, although I can just get the flap buckled. I also wish that it had a hand strap at the top; I've fully tightened the shoulder strap for the purpose but that is still a bit long.

The bag is a bit small, but the color and style make it worth using.

The color of this vintage satchel bag is bright and pretty. However, this bag is not only a bit too small to my liking, but also has some quality issues. As seen in my pictures, it has loose and strayed threads here and there. All its button holes are not hemmed properly. I think I have to mend it all over before using it. The shoulder strap is adjustable, but it is too narrow which is only one inch wide. If I have to carry some heavy objects with it, my shoulder may hurt. All in all, this canvas messenger bag is very basic. It will make a very good wall decoration for my living room.

A good sized haversack for whatever your plans. I plan to use this as a fishing bag. It's a larger version of a bag I used years ago, only this has 4 pockets in all and my old one had one. Both were military style and made of heavy gauge canvas. This haversack, however, can be used as a backpack or over the shoulder. We do recommend, thank you

This bag looks just like the original, and has all of the design correct hardware. It is great for display purposes or for daily use. The front closure takes time to open and close and it is very out of place in today's world where everything is quick and hassle free. This is a good bag but it gets wet easily and stays wet for a VERY long time. I plan on waterproofing the outside so that I do not have it get soaked in the rain. Well made and worth the asking price.
