when my POS Troy Built edger finally quit working, I was looking for an affordable replacement. Everything was anywhere from $150-$600! Even attachments were outrageous. Then I found this! It's all metal and easy to use. The only thing I had to do was install a female adapter to the end of the flex shaft. I had an old "Troy Built" (see a pattern?) weed whacker that didn't work, so I sawed off the flex shaft coupler, punched out the flex shaft stub from the coupler, inserted it onto the Badger flex shaft, smacked it with a ball peen hammer to crimp it, and it works great! I have a corner 1/2 acre lot with sidewalks, so I have a lot of edging. This thing works better than anything I've ever used. There's some minor assembly required, which ANYONE who knows what a screw driver is, can do, and I also packed some wheel bearing grease in the housing and the flex shaft tube.

It was hard to install and also didn’t do a good job, as well as have to end up fixing one of the shafts on a weedwhacker.

My old edger died after 30 years of use.I priced some new edgers but their prices were through the roof.I read a lot of reviews on this attachment and said for the price I can’t go wrong.This edger attachment fit perfectly on my ryobi weed eater.Edged around my pool and both sides of my driveway in no time at all.If this last a couple years it is definitely worth the money.

I have an echo weed eater and it was pretty difficult to attach due to the tubing sizes beinf slightly different. I had to basically beat it onto my trimmer with a board. However, when I removed the edger to reinstall my trimmer head it had loosened up. Maybe the tubing flared with use.It does work great and has been durable

This edger attachment is built stronger (heavier duty) than the previous one I purchased 5 years ago, making it less of a task to edge. The wheel is larger so that you can actually roll the edger (unlike the old one) and the metal composition is heavier duty.

For giggles I ordered this to see if I could make it work with my Stihl trimmers. To my surprise it fits both Kombi units I own, a KM90 and KM110. It seems to spin about twice as fast with my 110 vs. the 90, but works great with both. I maintain about 20 properties so I will definitely be putting this edger to the test. I will report back if needed, but so far so good. The KM equivalent is $199.*Update 12/24* - I used this attachment all summer and haven't had any issues. I swapped the blade to a heavy cross style and am impressed with this attachment. FWIW I also picked up the pole saw attachment and it works with my Kombis too!
