Okay so I was skeptical when I saw these but the ratings were good so thought we would try them. Was very impressed with the quality of the lighting and would surely buy more in the future. Be sure to buy the Sunvie connectors (sold separately and we love them) because they’re not included in the kit.

Excellent product. Lights are very bright and easy to install. The only thing better than the product is the customer service. I had a problem with one light from the multipack. I contacted Sunvie with a response back in one day. They replaced the light in a timely manner without any fuss. I wish all consumer companies reacted liked Sunvie. Thank you.

Nice lamps. These do not flicker at all on my 12v AC system (I have had other brands that did.) A bright lamp, warm tone and bright enough to add filters.The mounting system is not all that robust and may bend easily, I would not expect them to take many hits. My use has them mounted off the ground or in a protected location.

UPDATE: I crawled behind my bushes to remove the lights and I saw that "something" (squirrel maybe) had chewed 99% through the connectors to the main line. There was just enough current so the lights would operate, but were super dim (and I had assumed burned out). Rewired/replaced the connectors and the lights are 100%. Glad I was able to add this update and take back any previous negative comments. Really enjoyed the performance - and did operate great for 3 years . . . just expected more for a LED product. Why buy a long life LED in a sturdy frame if it will just burn out in 3 years . . .

This is a very good set of low voltage lighting for your outside flower beds or accent lighting. I am impressed with the amount of light they put out. I have them installed in flower beds shining up onto crept myrtles. Very nice.

I have nine lights. I replace all of the lights with the Sunvie lights. They are very bright and relatively small. I purchased the lights in March and a couple of days ago one light dimmed out. I emailed Sunvie, they got back to me within 24 hours and offered to replace the light. I gave them my address and within 2 days they sent me a box with 2 lights. That is customer service.

2nd order of thes lights we bought and put in. Now have front & back, and so so nice not to have to worry about solar anymore! I’ve had a lot of compliments on these very easy to install and work beautifully time will tell, but I have no reason to believe these won’t be around for years

Bit of teardown on one, yes. Only a 7watt regulator inside (XLSEMI XL6001E1). LED Chip is marked 4P7S .. Its a 7watt LED, on a 7 watt driver.Tested one to push its limits (At the cost of expected lifespan). Light output is good, but power usage seems to stay at an even 7 Watts of power when tested with a DC source.The internal regulator keeps does an excellent job of maintaining the brightness when faced with both over and under voltage, it maintained full brightness all the way down to 8v - Regulator chip datasheet shows viable voltage range excellent for Solar and Battery operation of these lights.Its all pretty simple assembly and easy enough to upgrade and replace parts in the event any failure. Quite Thick glass protecting the front. The housing is an aluminum alloy, so best to take care with screw tightening only as much as needed. Even thermal paste under the cob that is secured by screws. its built well compared to the others of a similar type.Power cable is a curious ETL (Intertek) certified 105'C rated SVT PVC jacketed cable at 18AWG and FT2 .. This is a similar type of power cord as commonly used for a Desktop PC with an above average heat and fire resistance rating.. far more than sufficient to run such a compact light, and beyond anything required for such low voltage cable.I'm okay with the 7W, as the light output is excellent, It appears to be an quality Epistar Cob LED. This simply means I can actually put even more of them onto my 200w system. And Its an easy mod to solder a bigger chip and driver into place. Actual 12w Square Epistar COB chips are easy to find that are the same size factor., given the interior space and build quality for the price. I'm fine with this purchase.

These are perfect for what I wanted as my old ones started to burn out, instead of getting the clips to attached I just sliced them into the old wire which worked well. Good light and fairly well built just be careful when setting them in as they do easily bend due to design. but overall very good.
