If you are looking for a simple quick connector for hooking up Low Voltage Outdoor Lights, this is your item. They are very easy to use and I never encountered an issue with the connection and the lights all worked.Initially it was a little tricky hooking up the smaller wire from the light fixture as it passes through the securing lock nut. However, if you follow the instructions and insert the wire 1/4" until it bottoms out and then tighten the lock nut it works perfectly. Test the connection by pulling the wire.

Work perfectly. Easy to use. We wired in thirteen lights with 14-gauge main feed line for the 12 volts. I would not suggest these for twelve-gauge as once you separate the wire it will be too thick to push down into the slots which house the pins. Hey, 14-gauge is all you need anyway these days with low power LED 12 V bulbs. A tip to split the main feed wire: use an old, hooked carpet knife. Put the wire on a piece of scrap wood. Press the blade down between the wires, pull up and you create the necessary space to install the connector.

These little connectors work great for landscape lighting. I used them for a 10 light run in my backyard and recently 2 - 12 light runs in my front yard. They work great. I have not had any issues with the backyard lighting which has been in the ground for over a year now. Note: I put a dab of liquid electric tape over the light wire connection (I do not put any on the main line connection) before burying - probably overkill.

I rewired and reconnect my entire yard. Set up zones to be sure I didn't push load on a single wire. I really like how these are connected in pairs. Easy to work with.I will advise you to wrap electrical tape around opening where the fixture wires enter. I had a heavy rain the day after and half the line shorted and transformer kept tripping. Thankfully, I hadn't buried the line yet. After drying out a bit they all came back on and I noticed smoke. One of the last connectors was burning, literally.Still giving 4 stars and chalking it up to a bad fixture.

I bought these for my low voltage wiring system. Unfortunately, I went with 12 gauge wiring and it ended up being too thick, so I had to strip down the wire at the connection point in order for it to work. The system itself is a great design and would have been very simple of I would have had maybe 16 gauge or smaller wire. I'd still be worried about 14 gauge fitting in the slot, or the needle penetrating the rubber exterior.Nonetheless, I highly recommend these connectors and am still very happy that I purchaded them.

Once you get into a rhythm with these, they are great. There is a bit of finger muscle required to get screws down enough so I used a wrench for some of them. I then wrapped them in electrical tape. Saved me a lot of time (stripping).

I decided to give this product a try after reading other customer reviews. I found them easy to use during installation of my outdoor pathway lighting. They work beautifully so far. I did wrap them with a good quality electrical tape to help secure connections and prevent moisture.
