Fits well and has enough room on the base so that you can move the camera off to the side and still rotate the LCD screen into any position desired.

I generally like L-brackets on my camera bodies though they do add additional weight. When I use something to stabilize, I frequently go to a monopod with ball head before a tripod and prefer the centered stability rather than the camera tipped to the side to shoot verticals.I have a battery grip on my EOS R so this was a natural since it's one of the few designed to accommodate the battery grip. Unlike another brand I have for my Canon 1Dx and 5Ds which requires a hex wrench, this grip uses a thumb key to tighten. This makes for fast removal when I need it. The only negative (and this is partially a fault of the USB-C tether cable I sometimes use), the vertical rail blocks the use of the cable in the camera.Is this the most finely machines L-bracket on the market? No. But for the price, that's ok!

Ordered this L bracket in hopes to be able to use it with my R5 and R6 Mark II, both equipped with the NEEWER BG-R10 replacement grip. While the SunWayFoto PCL-RG is very well built and should fit the OEM Canon BG-R10 grip nicely (I'm figuring since that is what it was made for), it is a tiny bit narrow for the NEEWER grip which appears to have a slightly wider base where the battery compartment is at. The SunwayFoto L-bracket doesn't seat properly and therefore makes not enough space to access to the battery tray (door can't open). I was really disappointed as this appeared to be the answer to my search for a L-bracket to fit the camera and grip combo but tried it today and no-go! Requested to return it to Amazon and hopefully I can find something that works. I need the grip to allow me to comfortably hold the camera, especially the R6 Mark II. I don't want to have to remove / replace the grip to go between a tripod and handheld shooting.So, if you're using the NEEWER aftermarket BG-R10 grip, be cautioned about it might not fit. I am assuming that all the NEEWER grips are the same size.

Excellent for the price ,light weight and strong perfect fit and half the price compared to same bracket from different brands .

L bracket are always helpful. This one works great with the eos r with the battery grip. I feel like it is a bit overprice but product is just as advertised.
