So, I picked up an older, small freezer. The one side of the gasket on it was twisted, so I thought it would be a good idea to replace it. This gasket seemed like it would have been great, but when I got into the job, I realized why the original gasket was twisted. The plastic door piece (molded part, with the door shelves, inside), was actually broken, so no gasket was ever going to work. I gave 3 stars for value for money, because I felt it was expensive (not unlike others mind you), and I had to pay to return it, when I realized I couldn't use it.

Product is junk. Magnets are cheap and do not seal door, product is not universal as stated. Great idea but terrible execution. Absolute waste of my time trying to install.

Used this on a 34 year old chest freZzer that sits out side in the arizona desert was alittle worried as it gets to triple digits out here but we are getting into are second summer and it's been perfect

First. Thanks to those who responded to my question.I have a 34+ year-old, Hotpoint fridge w. a top freezer w. a bad gasket. New gaskets fitting this model are unavailable. This is what I learned. The old gasket is clamped w. metal strips which are installed w. screws. W. the freezer door still on the running fridge. First, remove the mag strips from the new gasket. Then loosen the retaining screws on the metal strips, remove the old gasket & mount the new gasket thrice, 1st, w-o. mag strips, to check fit & rough trim the new gasket (I trimmed the inner flange to the 2nd line, trimmed the gasket lengths a little over-sized ), 2nd to measure & install the magnetic strips, 3'd, with the mag strips installed, for the final install (trim the lengths & tighten all the screws.) I still had gaps where I trimmed the new gasket to length, so I bought a roll of white, vinyl, electrical tape to cover the gaps. This gasket is not as robust as the original , but it does hold the door closed & keep the cold air inside the freezer. My 'fridge probably doesn't have much time left. I completed the install over a couple of days with the gasketless freezer held closed overnight w. duct tape. Before you buy or remove the old gasket, take a close look at your machine, to understand what you will be dealing with. Good luck.

I ordered this to replace the gasket on a 30-year old Kenmore kegerator. It said universal but it was thicker than the original and the door won't close because of the space on the hinge side. Also, when I attempted closing the door when I had only half of it on, the magnet seemed very weak and I was already stressing that it wouldn't stay shut with the new gasket. I guess now, I'll just give the old gasket a good cleaning since it's already off and put that back on. At least the door stayed shut before, albeit somewhat loosely. I was hoping the new gasket would mitigate the frost problem I been having.Since I already cut pieces to fit, I can't return it as it's basically ruined. Perhaps there's a satisfaction guarantee.

Not Universal! My refrigerator door would not close all the way. Even with pictures company made me physically remove it from refrigerator and ship back with gaskets for the freezer that were unused I order to get a return even though we it was cut to fit.

Was kind of a pain to install. Because it kept falling off. Used the glue that was recommended. But it took a while to dry.

Item was listed as “universal†but was far from it. I order this item based on measurements of what I needed and it was a complete waste of money. It was thicker than listed and the magnets weren’t strong enough (tried flipping both ways to ensure they were being used correctly). Overall just not worth the money.
