I bought a second hand Bose wave radio and although it has an internal FM antenna I could hear some static when trying to receive further away stations. It is digitally tuned so it either comes in clearly or it doesn’t, no slight adjustment of the tuning knob is possible.The Bose radio has an antenna port on the back with the screw on style connector. Right from the package, this antenna already has the correct type of connection so all I had to do was plug the center wire in and tighten the outer nut. I positioned it pointing directly up and then did the last 1/4 turn and it stays perfectly vertical. I like that the antenna is rather short and it looks like it came with the radio. The sound is great for all stations now, no static for the distant stations and the closer stations are absolutely crystal clear.A great accessory for my Bose wave radio.

I live about 25 miles from Sacramento is a rural farm area. I bought this to screw into the back of my 20+ year old Bose Wave Radio. I get clear reception on most stations now. The one issue I have is that when telescoping the antenna, it has to be straight up (90 degree able) or it will fall all the way down to the right or the left. I am unable to angle the antenna without it falling. The ability to angle it would allow me to dial in better on certain stations. I can lean it on something to keep it at an angle. But really I should not have to. All-in-all, it works good, even it does requires a bit of frustrating buttressing

I installed this on my Bose radio and reception was still poor. This product was the recommended one for my my radio. I am dissatisfied with this and will probably return it. It was not difficult to install but did not work.

I've had a Boise Radio for many years. The drawback is that I wasn't able to pickup all the stations clearly depending on atmospheric conditions. I tried connecting a coaxial to the connector but with no noticeable different. I saw this advertised, read a number of the reviews and saw some were in the same boat as I was. I thought I'd give it a try and it works. The stations that used to be weak are now stronger and they don't fade in and out. It also brought in a few more stations that I couldn't get at all before. For the money, you can't go wrong.
