My transmission temperature was running high 185-200 without towing. I’ve researched online for thermal bypass valve replacement or kit. This was the best kit for my budget and it came with the gasket. Now my temperature on transmission is 140-168. It took me 15mins to install. I’m a little relived now hopefully I get more miles from these faulty transmissions.

This was an overall great purchase, easy to install, fit and performance is excellent! This solved my transmission overheating problem on my 2018 GMC Yukon XL. I would highly recommend coupling it with an aftermarket transmission cooler. Cheap transmission insurance! Wish I would’ve done this sooner!

All the parts felt high quality and well made.The hardest part of installing this was just getting under your truck. The instructions were dummy-proof, there is no way you could mess it up if you took your time and read through the steps.My transmission temps float around 130-150 during the daily commute, plus it has been around 80-90 here in Washington. This is a 40 degree drop!After installing this I realized just how cooked my fluid looked and changed the fluid as well. I don't care what anyone says, engineer or not, I would pick running cooler over hotter any day of the week. When a new transmission is thousands of dollars, anything I could do to help it live longer is worth it.

Keeps the trans significantly cooler than before.Stock temps were as high as 180.After this mod, highest temp I’ve seen is 120-130

About 20 minute install. My transmission would get up to mid 190’s while driving. After installing this went for a 1.5 hour test drive and my transmission only got up to 142. I’m very happy with this upgrade!!!!

It is a great product but was a pain to get snap ring out and it doesn’t come with a new one it really should but for the headache and price I should have just spent more money and bought a whole new one instead of this product
