The Superior Pump 92060 Pump Alarm System provides early warning of pump failure. Simple to install, the Pump Alarm System with tethered float switch, will sound when water levels reach a level pre-set by you. The unit operates on 115-Volt and includes a 9-Volt battery backup and an automatic alarm reset. Alarm tethered float switch features a 15 foot power cord and hardware to attach the switch to your pumps discharge pipe. Alarm offers an 87 dB horn and low battery "CHIRP". Pump Alarm System will work in both sump and sewage applications. Kit includes: alarm, alarm float, float mounting hardware and installation instructions.

Liked the simple installation. Came with stainless steel clamp and plastic clip to easily adjust float level. Alarm box must be mounted inside near a 120 v outlet . You will need some direct bury wire if your tank is outdoors. Float switch wire is 18 gauge. Alarm is quite loud.

I've had this alarm for more than 6 months. It's great. It's hooked up to my almost tired-less sump pump. It has sounded the alarm 2 times recently. My super overworked sump pump has taken a break twice, so the alarm let me know when the water reach a certain level in the sump pump well. After clicking a button on the unit to turn it off (the unit resets automatically at that point), I simply moved the sump pump cover over to see what's going on. My sump pump wakes up and starts working like a champ again.I'm convinced that my home is near a water table. It's located at the bottom of a hill, so that probably causes underground water to rise too.I highly recommend the sump pump alarm. It sounds the alarm loud enough to hear it throughout a two level home. The 9v battery back up also puts my mind at ease. It's easy to install and it's solidly built.

Great product - we are using it for a sewage pump in the basement. I took a star off because the install isn't as simple as some of these reviews made me believe - my plumber installed it and it took him almost 2 hours. I think when you are using it for sewage pump, it is more work than a sump pump. Sump pump only has water. Sewage pump has waste, and you have to seal the lid completely to make sure sewer gases don't come out into the living space - so every pipe and cable in and out of the lid also has to be handled very carefully to make sure there are no gaps that could leak gas/odor. He placed the float right above the Moeller pump, as recommended by the manufacturer, and had to take apart the pipes and take the pump out of the pit to do it. We tested it out a few times. Its a great product - love the Test button and the battery backup. When we tested it, i could hear the alarm very clearly one floor above, in a different part of the house. I might put one in my basement sump pump as well - but that install should be a lot simpler.

buying and installing one of these is a lot less expensive than the cleanup should your sewer basin overflow in a finished lower level of your home. Be sure to test it, install the 9v battery backup for a little more peace of mind.

Purchased to as a replacement for an installed alarm in my septic system. Straight forward replacement. Appears to be well made. Alarm is loud enough to be heard on another level of the house. Has 9 volt battery that is suppose to be replaced after the system alarms. Would buy again

This was a deal. The plumbing company wanted $329.00 for this alarm. Was the exact same unit with a different decal on it. Install was very easy and works great. Quality is very good or better compared to more expensive units.
