This item was broken and did not work when I tried to set it up. I was actually waiting a while for this item and when it finally arrived I tried to set it up and play a movie (DVD) I just bought yet the tray would not open. Seemed a screw or something was jammed inside the tray and was lose. This was very upsetting. And I will never buy anything like this again.

You get what you pay for. Speakers quit after only half an hour of use. DVD player still works but it makes a lot of grinding noises when running.

The DVD player works great! But the sound from the speakers isn't very good. I have an older Samsung surround system with 5/1 speakers, probably 15 years old. I'm not able to connect it to my DVD player, and the sound isn't very good compared to my older surround system. Maybe there's a way to connect my older speakers, but I haven't been able to figure it out yet.

Knowing this was cheap and an off-brand product, my expectations weren't super high. That said, this little speaker system puts out some pretty solid noise at a high volume. Works fantastic considering it's price!
