Pretty easy install for a DIY - Instructions on how to USE the remote are NILL...NOT user friendly instructions there.SHORT ANSWER: There is NO 'programming' of the remote. Once the leads are installed, you just hold down BOTH the IN + OUT buttons simutaneously until red led turns on - then it works. Period. Auto times out, turns itself off.

Unit installation was simple. My winch is in a cabinet, and I placed the remote receiver inside the cabinet too (Tested reception before permanently mounting). It allowed me to be greater than 40 feet away, and worked well. The other nice thing was that it allows for the plug-in remote to be used as backup if needed.

Must have for a super winch. Installed on my 9.5k and 18k winches. I believe i did drill the hole for the wire bigger than the recommended size for the grommet

They say it works but instructions do not outline how to make it work with Terra series. Superwinch was very helpful those and explained how. Here is what you need to do. You must modify three of the 4 wires to plug it into the controller. Here is how to make it work. Red goes to controller battery +, black goes to controller battery - by adding ring terminal, blue goes to blue bullet plug, and white goes to black bullet plug.

we have a floor-mounted winch to tow cars in, now one person can do this. The range is impressive, we have a 100' spool and it works the whole way. That was 1 year ago, just installed #2 on my car trailer.

This thing works better then it says it does!!! Says 35ft rang and I walked out 135ft and it still works!!! Greatest investment ever makes loading by yourself sooo easy..

Works very well and a must have add-on if using winch for remote control up to 50'. Compatible with all "SuperWinch" models, the included instructions are not good for older models and tech support is non-existent. If your winch has two relays opposite of each other, make sure you connect green and white wires, one to each relay. They are not colour coded for in/out control. You may need to switch them (in / out). White (power) and Black (ground) are logically connected to electrical wiring points in the winch motor. You may find re-installing motor cover difficult.Take your time or you will break it.Another Pro-tip, pay careful attention to cable quick release black lever shown in picture , that must be removed first. (Slide - press fit) to access winch motor. Test wireless remote operation before reinstalling cover.If you're buying a winch, it's best to order it with wireless included to avoid installation issues.
