My cat is no stranger to the cone. Unfortunately he has herpes and flares up during stressful moments (vet visits.)This cone has been a life saver. It’s large enough to block him from accessing the area but small enough for him to maneuver around the house. It’s very lightweight which is nice since he usually has to wear it for 2-3 week stretches. I can’t imagine weight on your neck while your eye is itchy and you can’t reach it to scratch. He’s able to sleep comfortably without needing anything to prop his head up.I can clean it just by wiping down. I have another soft cone that is fabric and need to machine wash, often. It has an adjustable strap at the bottom with a waterproof material. It’s nice because he doesn’t sweat as much around the collar as he does with the fabric cones and cotton neckbands. It has a thick, I mean THICK, Velcro closure. That cone isn’t coming off. It’s actually a little difficult to remove but I guess that’s the point?I highly recommend, especially for sphynx cats. My guy is 11lbs, neck is 8 inches around, and we purchased a size Medium and it was perfect. My only note is: I’d like to see a clear version. It would be cool if there wasn’t a pattern printed, so my cat can see better.

My cat got neutered and wouldn’t stop licking his incision sight so I got this. It’s super light weight, comfortable, flexible, easy to put on, it fit perfectly and it’s machine washable and durable.

This item was PURfect for our kitty. She didn’t mind wearing it. We took it off when we could watch her…she wouldn’t get at stitches. She slept in it. It is a mesh so breathable and she could jump down off bed because it didn’t obstruct her vision. Will never put those plastic cones on our furbaby again! This is also easy on and off with a large Velcro adjustable neck for cone. Plastic cones are horrible to put on and remove and of course pets do not like them. Highly recommend this for cats. Our baby is 23 pounds and adapted very well to it.

Due to a tail injury, my cat has been in a cone for over 5 weeks now, and she's just miserable in the hard cone that the vet gave us. Since she still has several weeks to go, I needed something with the same dimensions as that cone, but something lighter and more flexible. This one fits the bill. She still doesn't love it, but since it's lighter and it bends, she's more comfortable - especially sleeping. It has a few cons, though: due to its flexibility, it doesn't always stay perfectly round so sometimes squashes her ears. Also, it came with a weird smell to it that still hasn't dissipated after 5 days, and when she dunks the mesh in the water bowl, it takes awhile to dry. Still a solid 4 out of 5, as I don't think a cone exists that she will like and will still work properly.

I had two cats neutered so I bought two collars. The medium size is approximately the same size as a 12cm Vet One collar issued at a veterinarian office. This worked fine for a ten lbs. cat. The 14 lbs. cat could almost get past the edge which you would not want. This was lighter weight and more comfortable than the usual. I did not have to take the collar off to feed the cats. I could fold a part of the edge back so the cats could feed. The mesh could hold water after the cat drinks, and when the cat scratches he may scratch a small hole in the mesh. One of the cats did this, however I could still use the collar again. I don't have cats neutered every day, so it was a hard choice. This did work for me, I don't know if it is any better than any other product. It came in an envelope semi creased and folded which I did not like, but it did straighten out okay. I prefer this over the "Vet One" brand collar.

I like that it’s a soft collar that can be folded back for eating and drinking. But my cat always manages to get it wet drinking from a cat fountain or even a small bowl of water. The material is not waterproof; maybe the mesh is but the sewn seams around the top of the cone are fabric that gets soaked; and the Velcro material can hold water if the cat gets it in the water bowl drinking. I’m having to dry it off often. Otherwise it’s better than some stiff plastic cone, and the breathable mesh is more comfortable for pets of course.
