This gadget is indispensable. I have had several mandolin slicers in the last 50 years, but this one is by far the BEST. It arrived today, just in time for me to make my next batch of homemade dog food. It sliced multiple carrots and sweet potatoes easily into julienne strips which I then diced. I was done in record time since the hopper is large and holds the raw food securely. I also made paper thin slices of onions for a salad. This will make my kitchen prep time and cleanup simple and speedy!* The slicing unit comes out from the housing easily and rinses clean. The supplied brush got the last few slivers of veggie out of the slicer easily.* The chopping mechanism is safe, secure, and powerful* The thickness of the slices are numerous and the julienne options allow you to make the ideal size from french fry to spaghetti-thin.While the price is a bit high, the product is well worth it. I would buy it again in a minute.

OMG! This slicer/chopper is great. Well built and so easy to operate. Works better than I expected. It does everything the big, expensive, heavy appliances can do. Easy to setup and clean. I would definitely recommend this and buy again for a gift. Thank you.

Works pretty well. The blade settings instructions are not very clear and therefore trial and error are involved on ones first few uses, and while the instructions say "easy to clean," that is a bit of an exaggeration. It is perhaps as easy to clean as the design allows and at least one can slice and dice without the danger to one's fingers a manolin often poses.

Best investment ever! I've had another slicer that would always cut my fingers whenever I used it. This one is so simple and easy. Lots of guards to keep your fingers safe, and it slices perfectly. Up to 8mm thick with two different options for julienne slicing. I highly recommend this for anyone who values their fingers.

I only use this for fries. At first it cut them really well, but soon it stopped cutting them all the way through. It makes something like accordion slices with the individual fries needing to be pulled the rest of the way apart. Otherwise it’s great, easy to use and clean. Still easier than cutting fries with a knife, just disappointing that I now have to dismantle the potato slices.

I love this product. It's easy to learn how to use, and I have put it through its paces. It's easy to clean and doesn't take much room to store. This was fun to use and well worth the money.

I have had many mandolines and chopping gadgets. I really like this one -- but it takes a bit of patience, though, because you need to figure out the dials. Once you do, though, you have options to slice and dice at varying thickness. I really like this. Plus maybe because of the design, it might not get dull so easily. They provide a brush for cleaning, and it can be completely disassembled. I have always rinsed my chopping tools directly after using, to avoid a lot of work later. This one is no different, and does get clean in the dishwasher. Overall, I really like this Mandoline.
