Doesn't look exactly like a Hofner tailpiece but it is much more solid than the one that does. I would give it five stars if the nut was threaded the whole way through. It seems like the ball end should go against the round socket on the string holder, but it's not threaded the whole way through so it can't be used in that direction. In spite of that it still works just fine though.
