This timer is a well made, easy to install device that will help you avoid the high TOU or demand rates that all the utilities are starting to implement. With its wifi connectivity, you can use it to remotely control any load you may have connected to a 30A 240V breaker. It also will control one or two 120V loads simultaneously (not individually). With its smart features, you can schedule the operational times you desire. Use this for your water heater, pool or spa pump, space heater, any load within the electrical specifications. I installed two of these on my heat pump water heaters and they’ve been working flawlessly, keeping the water heaters off during the peak periods outlined by my utility. You’ll need a standard electrical “whip†to complete your installation, like what’s used to wire up your outdoor A/C condenser unit to the service disconnect on the house wall — it’s available on Amazon for about $25.

Great price! Well made. Plastic case. Don't overtighten mounting hardware, screws. Wiring Diagrams may be confusing so I posted my 240 volt installation photos. 2 hot(black) wires and ground(copper) wire from breaker panel box through the back black grommet of the new box. 2 hot(black) wires and green ground wire out through the gray conduit to a 2 HP 240 volt pool pump. COM1 and COM 2 are for the line (hot) wires from the panel box. NO1 and NO2 are for the load wires to the pump. The blue and red jumper wires go to L and N to power and operate the switch. Be sure to connect ground wires first to the inside bottom of the box. My pump is also grounded with a grounding rod deep into the earth. For ease of wiring the switch does fold out of the box. I am not an electrician, be safe and hire an electrician if you are not sure how to connect the wires. I got Smart Home and Alexa up and running quickly but it will take me some time to figure out each app.

This product is exactly what I needed. Very easy to install, it brings good and easy-to-follow instructions for the different types of uses supported. It works great, very reliable. This is the second unit I purchased to remotely control another device, the first one has been working flawlessly for almost two years under true outdoor conditions: direct sun light, heat (over 95 degrees) and rain.

Installed it, Power LED is on, but the Bluetooth feature isn't working (blue LED never flashes when holding button down as explained in the app and instructions). Went through the steps to reset it, that didn't work either. Wasted a couple hours setting this up just to find out I can't use it due to the Bluetooth failing. Disappointing...

My original timer started slipping gears, so it was time for an upgrade. I struggled to decide between another manual switch, a digital switch, or a wireless option, and ultimately decided on this product after lots of research and checking all of my options on Amazon. Installation was straight-forward with one small exception that I will detail at the end. Attaching to my wireless was easy, and the App from the Google Play store is fine. (Very basic, but fine for the purpose of running a pool pump) The quality of the waterproof box and the seals for the conduit are really good and even the latch to open/close the timer is nicely done.My only issue was with the wiring. Supplied in the box are a red wire and a blue wire that serve as jumpers when you hook up your wiring. For my installation, the supplied jumpers are 14 gauge wire while my house wiring is 12 gauge. When you install the jumper along side of your house wiring as indicated in the video and instructions, you cannot tighten the screw hard enough to grab the both wires because of the size difference. The smaller jumper kept slipping out of the connector For me, the simple fix was to go to my garage and snip a couple of pieces of 12 gauge wire from other projects and make my own jumpers. If you have 6 inches of 'extra' wire laying around AND you have house wiring that differs in size from the supplied jumpers, you can get past this easily. If you have ever done any electrical wiring this workaround is about as simple as it gets, but many people shy away from electrical work. If you are confident enough to try this installation, I would expect you could work through this simple issue but it was not something that I expected so I wanted to pass along my findings.I would buy this product again with no hesitation.

i installed this on my hot water heater circuit. this enables us to shut off the tank if we go away for an extended trip and allows us to turn the tank back on such that when we arrive home, our hot water is available without delay. installation was easy, wifi connection was easy and it is compatible with my existing Smart Life app, minimizing the need for multiple apps to control my devices.
