I mounted this ladder on the left rear door centered, as instructed. I also mounted a ski rack on it using stainless U bolts. It works perfectly.

I installed this in 15 minutes. Looks great and is really sturdy. Only gripe is the included self tapping screws are trash and I wouldn't trust them to hold the ladder for long. I upgraded to a stainless steel nut and bold for $1.50 and this thing is solid now.

First they said they shipped it, but never arrived. UPS said they were "ghost" scans, not the real product in transit. :( Amazon cancelled and reordered. Installing it, the bottom metal supports are unfinished and sharp, they scratch the helium-double hockey sticks out of your van. The manufacturer needs to clean them up before shipping, if they don't get a clue, file the sharp edges yourself and install the rubber pads. I hung the ladder and put some weight on it to settle it in before drilling the bottom holes and noticed the top metal hook channels bending slightly and had to re shape them. The screws it came with are working OK but I think I will replace them with through stainless bolts for peace of mind. I might put a screw or bolt in the top as well. Be aware of the Ford Transit BEMM no drill zones on you van. They suggest disconnecting your battery so you don't inadvertently set off the air bags drilling! It easily holds 200 pounds of climbing up and down to the solar panels and roof rack and holds the Kayak nicely in transit.

Attention Ford Transit 2021 AWD owners you have to remove your AWD and ecoboost emblem.In order to install the ladder, it must be centered on the door. If you centered it the bottom left side of the ladder will fall on the AWD and ecoboost emblem. you must remove them in order to install the ladder.I returned mine since I was not sure if the emblems are stick-on or bolted in. If they are bolted you would have a exposed hole in the door.See photo.

Excellent fit and easy to install with die cut pads to protect paint. I would have preferred black, but did not want to pay extra for the powder coating. As it turns out, the brushed satin chrome finish looks nice and holds up well.

Nice ladder! We plasti-dipped the ladder black for a sleek look on our camper van. Fits our Ford transit 250 high roof just fine. Now we climb on the roof to watch the sunset or clean our solar panels with ease!

The instructions and pictures of product lead me to install the ladder centered on the door. When I tried to do that the ladder is tilted about 3/4 of an inch to the left. It looks awful. Is the ladder bent due to shipping or poor craftsmanship ? I have not installed the ladder and want help from supplier.
