If you end up with hot incoming signal at the antenna in the low -40 range, your best option is to move and/or de-tune your outdoor antenna. However if you have a situation where getting to the outdoor antenna requires renting a lift at $300 a day, risking a fall from a very tall ladder or other difficult situations making antenna adjustment impractical, then this attenuator will save the day and maybe your life. Use only in situations where the signal is very strong and your amplifier is shutting down immediately because of it. There are other versions (with different attenuation levels) of this attenuator which you should consider depending upon level of incoming signal. Only attenuate what is necessary to keep your amplifier from going into overload and shutting down. Again, if your amplifier is going into shutdown and you have easy access to your outside antenna, you should try moving and/or de-tuning antenna first. I recommend using this or any attenuator only as a last resort.

Your supposed to place this between the outdoor antenna and the booster! I have a Surecall fusion 4 home booster and got this because it was for the Surcall system - AND IT DOES NOT FIT! It will fit the indoor antenna connection - but that's not were it goes! Shame on Surecall to send this out with the wrong connection!
